Hi Hivegamers, today I want to talk to you about a game that I'm really looking forward to and that causes me some nostalgia, The Hunter - Call of the Wild. I'll tell you why I'm looking forward to it and a little bit hooked.
My dad, my old man as I call him out of affection, is an expert hunter and I remember that when I was a kid he took me hunting several times so I would get used to the guns and the natural environment. The first time I shot a shotgun was when I was 11 years old, it was very painful because I shot at a bird resting on a branch of a tree, the butt hit me hard on the forehead because I didn't have the strength to hold the recoil and also I was badly placed, I think my old man was careless about that detail, I want to think that's how it was.

Saludos Hivegamers, hoy les quiero hablar de un juego que me hace mucha ilusión y me causa cierta nostalgia, The Hunter - Call of the Wild. Les cuento el por qué me tiene ilusionado y algo enganchado.
Mi papá, mi viejo como le digo por cariño, es un cazador experto y recuerdo que siendo un niño me llevó varias veces de cacería para que me fuera acostumbrando a las armas y al ambiente natural. La primera vez que disparé una escopeta fue a los 11 años, fue muy doloroso porque disparé con la mira puesta hacia un ave reposada en la rama de un árbol, la culata pego con mucha fuerza sobre mi frente porque no tuve la fuerza de sostener el retroceso y además estaba mal colocada, creo que mi viejo se descuidó en ese detalle, quiero pensar que es así.
Anyway, there are many stories about hunting trips with my old man, I accompanied him during my adolescence, but after I reached adulthood I accompanied him less and less until I didn't go anymore. I honestly miss those times.
The Hunter - Call of the Wild transports me to those moments of hunting with my old man, I saw it on offer in the Epic Games store at 0$, so it's free for a limited time, I did not hesitate to "buy it". It is the base game without any DLC, seeing the amount of DLCs available for now I would like the dog one, I think it would be helpful, but maybe later if I take the game more to heart.
The scenery in the game is beautiful, the sounds too, every animal, every step, echolocation active at all times. At times it is very relaxing but at others exciting, yet also annoying or frustrating.

En fin, hay muchas historias en torno a las salidas de caza con mi viejo, lo estuve acompañando en el transcurso de mi adolescencia, pero ya después que fui alcanzando la adultez lo acompañaba menos hasta que ya no fui más. Honestamente extraño esos tiempos.
The Hunter - Call of the Wild me transporta a esos momentos de caza con mi viejo, lo vi en oferta en la tienda de Epic Games a 0$, así es gratis por tiempo limitado, no dudé en "comprarlo". Es el juego base sin ningún tipo de DLC, viendo la cantidad de DLCs disponibles por ahora quisiera el del perro, creo que sería de mucha ayuda, pero tal vez más adelante si me tomo el juego más a pecho.
El paisaje del juego es hermoso, los sonidos también, cada animal, cada paso, la ecolocalización activa en todo momento. En ocasiones es muy relajante pero en otras emocionante, aunque también molesto o frustrante.
The character is always walking and although he can walk a little faster then his heart accelerates which makes breathing difficult and he can not aim accurately. It is not recommended to run or walk very fast because it makes a lot of noise, if I go from one point to another without the objective of hunting then I can run without problem, but if I plan to go hunting I should never run to avoid scaring away the animals.
The game is not so real in several aspects, but it is still fun, although very difficult. At least at the beginning, we do not have any skills and we have a very simple weapon with basic ammunition, there is not much we can do with that, but after we go hunting and getting money and experience things change in favor.
When I play The Hunter - Call of the Wild I spend many minutes walking aimlessly waiting for something to cross my path to shoot it, well that's how it was at the beginning, I was frustrated because I also hit the shot but the animal did not die, superficial wounds. Now I don't do it that way, I set a clear objective, example, today I will kill a whitetail deer, then I go and track the tracks ignoring the coyote that I have nearby making mating calls, or the black bear that I saw in the distance drinking in the lake, among other animals calling my attention, because if I get distracted I don't get to do one or the other, in this way I have been able to kill two deer in the last day.

El personaje siempre esta andando y aunque puede caminar un poco más rápido entonces se acelera su corazón lo que hace que respire con dificultad y no pueda apuntar con precisión. No es recomendable correr o andar muy rápido porque hace mucho ruido, si voy de un punto a otro sin el objetivo de cazar entonces puedo correr sin problema, pero si pienso ir de caza jamás debo correr para no ahuyentar a los animales.
El juego no es tan real en varios aspectos, pero igual es divertido, aunque muy difícil eso sí. Por lo menos al iniciar, no contamos con ninguna habilidad y tenemos un arma muy sencilla con municiones básicas, no hay mucho que podamos hacer con eso, pero ya luego que vamos cazando y obteniendo dinero y experiencia la cosa cambia a favor.
Cuando juego The Hunter - Call of the Wild paso muchos minutos andando sin rumbo esperando que algo se me atraviese para dispararle, bueno así era al comienzo, me sentía frustrado porque además acertaba el tiro pero el animal no moría, heridas superficiales. Ahora no lo hago así, me trazó un objetivo claro, ejemplo, hoy mataré un ciervo de cola blanca, entonces voy y rastreo las huellas ignorando el coyote que tengo cerca haciendo llamados de apareamiento, o el oso negro que vi a la distancia bebiendo en el lago, entre otros animales llamando mi atención, porque si me distraigo no alcanzo a hacer ni uno ni otro, de este modo he podido matar dos ciervos en el último día.
On the other hand, and something that excites me, is that there are online missions, that is, daily the game launches missions for players with prizes, there are also weekly missions and other eventual ones. There are individual missions in the game to help us get money and experience in case we are very bad at hunting. But the best and the icing on the cake is that you can play cooperatively, that's right, a game is always more fun when it has the possibility of uniting several people. Por otro lado y cosa que me emociona, es que hay misiones online, es decir, a diario el juego lanza misiones para los jugadores con premios, también hay misiones semanales y otras eventuales. Hay misiones individuales en el juego para ayudarnos a obtener dinero y experiencia en el caso que seamos muy malos cazando. Pero lo mejor y la cereza del pastel es que se puede jugar cooperativo, así es, un juego siempre es más divertido cuando tiene la posibilidad de unir a varias personas. En este sentido si alguno de los que me lee tiene el juego y quiere lanzar unas horas de cacería me avisa y con gusto lo agendamos. Por cierto, el DLC es compartido, digamos que mi colega tiene varios DLC y crea la partida, al unirme contaré con sus DLC en esa partida, eso esta genial porque no estoy obligado a tener los mismos DLCs.

A medida que lo voy jugando me va gustando más, sobre todo porque es calmado, tipo puedo ir a un lugar como un bebedero cerca de un lago y esperar que aparezca el animal mientras voy haciendo otras cosas, de hecho mientras escribía este post pude conseguir mi primer trofeo de oro.
