Taking advantage of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 being available on Xbox Game Pass, I decided to try it out. I should mention that my only previous experience with games in this series is the previous COD: Modern Warfare 3 and, many years ago, Black Ops 2. The first thing I started playing was multiplayer mode, as that's what I played the most in MW3. I've been playing for several days now and want to share my first impressions.

What has surprised me the most is how well designed the maps are; each one has its own personality and is definitely designed for different play styles, from snipers to those who enjoy close-quarters combat. Compared to MW3, these maps are better designed and more fun. My favorite maps are Payback and Pit, which have confined spaces and make matches constant and action-packed.

The new Kill Order mode, where one player from each team is designated as a high-value target (VIP), is fun and gets really chaotic in matches. I enjoy this mode a lot, except when I have to be the VIP because I know everyone's coming after me. As for the rest of the modes, I played most of them in MW3.

Regarding weapons, I've only used about three: an assault rifle, a submachine gun, and a tactical rifle. I haven't tried the other types of weapons yet. Right now, I'm married to the XM4 assault rifle, which has been with me since the beginning. Something interesting is that you can now use more than five attachments on weapons, as long as you get a wildcard.

Something I like is the introduction of omnidirectional movement. It took me a while to adapt, but I've gotten used to performing side jumps while shooting, although I tend to miss a lot of shots when doing this. What I do master is ground movement; unlike MW3 where you could only go prone, here I can be seated and turn freely.

I haven't leveled up much yet, but I've unlocked several camos. In this game, we can do it from weapon level 1, although I think they're a bit more complicated than in MW3. After my experience with MW3, I can say that I'm enjoying Black Ops 6 much more. The combination of well-designed maps and fluid movement makes the matches enjoyable. Although I sometimes get angry because I feel the opponents are very difficult, maybe some are using cheats, or I'm just terrible at playing. Another plus is that I didn't have to buy it. Give it a chance if you haven't played it yet. I'll tell you later about the campaign and zombies mode.
