Continuando con el Retro Gaming Blogging Challenge, en esta cuarta publicación, les compartiré los que a mi consideración son los tres mejores videojuegos que he jugado. Voy a variar un poco en esta publicación, ya que definitivamente no quiero ser tan repetitivo con mis publicaciones anteriores de juegos de la SNES.
Continuing with the Retro Gaming Blogging Challenge, in this fourth post, I will share with you what, in my opinion, are the three best video games I have ever played. I'm going to vary a bit in this post since I definitely don't want to be repetitive with my previous SNES games posts.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Comenzamos este top 3 con este juegazo de Star Wars, Knights of the Old Republic. Este juego salió para PC y Xbox en el año del 2003 y fue el primer juego referente a esta saga que jugué.
We start this top 3 with this fantastic Star Wars game, Knights of the Old Republic. This game was released for PC and Xbox in 2003, and it was the first game about this saga that I played.

KOTOR, como se le conoce a este videojuego, es un RPG ambientado en el universo de Star Wars aproximadamente como 4000 años antes de la creación del imperio galáctico. Al igual que las películas, aborda el tema de que los Jedi son los protectores de la paz en todo el universo, gracias a sus poderes y a su gran habilidad con el sable de luz. De igual forma, están presentes sus enemigos, los Sith, que tratan de conquistar y dominar a los planetas que conforman la República.
As this video game is known, KOTOR is an RPG set in the Star Wars universe approximately 4000 years before creating the galactic empire. Like movies, it deals with the theme that Jedi are protectors of peace throughout the universe, thanks to their powers and incredible ability with a lightsaber. Also present are their enemies, the Sith, who try to conquer and dominate the planets that make up the Republic.

Como les mencioné, es un juego de rol y podemos elegir entre diferentes personajes y personalizarlos a nuestro gusto. Al inicio estamos solos en el juego, pero conforme avanza la historia vamos formando un equipo con otros personajes. Dependiendo del tipo de misión que vayamos a realizar, debemos elegir con cuidado a nuestro equipo.
As I mentioned, it is a role-playing game, and we can choose between different characters and customize them to our liking. In the beginning, we are alone in the game, but as the story progresses, we form a team with other characters. Depending on the type of mission we are going to perform, we must choose our team carefully.

Este juego presenta una banda sonora muy buena y unos gráficos que para aquel entonces se me hacían espectaculares. Tenemos la posibilidad de viajar por toda una galaxia entera, pasando horas y horas de investigación y de realización de misiones.
This game has an excellent soundtrack and graphics that, at the time, were spectacular. We can travel through an entire galaxy, spending hours and hours of research and completion of missions.
Sin duda alguna este juego me atrapó e hizo que me encantará la saga de videojuegos referentes a Star Wars.
Undoubtedly this game caught me and made me love the saga of Star Wars video games.
Sonic Adventure 2
En segundo lugar coloco a Sonic Adventure 2, este juego lo tuve en la Dreamcast de Sega y posteriormente en la Game Cube de Nintendo, donde se modificó al nombre de Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.

En este juego, podemos elegir entre dos historias, la de los "buenos" (Sonic, Tales y knuckles) o la de los "malos" (Shadow, Dr. Eggman y Rouge), ambas historias ocurren de forma paralela y te recomiendo que si quieres entender toda la narrativa pases ambas.
In this game, we can choose between two stories, that of the "good guys" (Sonic, Tales, and Knuckles) or that of the "bad guys" (Shadow, Dr. Eggman, and Rouge), both stories occur in parallel, and I recommend that if you want to understand the whole narrative, you pass both.

Cada personaje tiene ciertas habilidades en las cuales se adapta a cada misión, por ejemplo Sonic y Shadow, tienen misiones de velocidad; Tales y Dr. Eggamn, misiones donde tienes que eliminar a disparos enemigos, destruir objetos, entre otras cosas; y Knuckles y Rouge, misiones donde se deben buscar tres partes de la Master Emerald, ambos tienen la habilidad de excavar.
Each character has specific skills in which he adapts to each mission. For example, Sonic and Shadow have speed missions; Tales and Dr. Eggamn, missions where you have to eliminate enemy shots, destroy objects, among other things; and Knuckles and Rouge, missions where you must search for three parts of Master Emerald, both can dig.
Cada que pasas una misión te dan un emblema y también una calificación según ciertos parámetros que hayas cumplido, como el tiempo, la cantidad de anillo que juntaste, la cantidad de mascotas encontradas, entre otras. En total son 180 emblemas para terminar el juego, hasta hoy no he podido juntarlos todos. :(
Each time you pass a mission, you get an emblem and a rating according to specific parameters that you have fulfilled, such as time, the number of rings you collected, and the number of pets found. In total, there are 180 emblems to finish the game; until today, I have not been able to collect them all. :(

Existen otras modalidades de juego, como en la que participas en carreras de autos contra otros personajes, o el mundo Chao, está en particular me gusta mucho, ya que es prácticamente como cuidar un bebé o una mascota (vaya comparación jajaja) y hacerla crecer fuerte y sana. Además lo puedes usar para participar en peleas de karate y carreras de obstáculos.
There are other game modes, such as how you participate in car races against other characters or the Chao world. I really like this one in particular, since it's practically like taking care of a baby or a pet and making it grow strong and healthy. You can also use it to participate in karate fights and obstacle courses.

Actualmente, lo sigo jugando utilizando la plataforma de Steam, y puedo asegurarles que nunca se van a aburrir. Se los recomiendo.
I still play it using the Steam platform, and I can assure you that you will never get bored. I highly recommend it.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Para finalizar este top, tenemos este juego, que tengo entendido fue el único de esta saga que vio la luz para esta consola, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
To finish this top, we have this game, which I understand was the only one of this saga that saw the light for this console, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Este juego a pesar de tener una trama sencilla a comparación de sus similares que salieron en las consolas posteriores, presenta una ejecución perfecta desde mi perspectiva. Nunca llega a ser un cansón, sino todo lo contrario, es bastante entretenido y tienen momentos geniales a lo largo que vamos avanzando.
Despite having a simple plot compared to its similar games on later consoles, this game presents a perfect execution from my perspective. It never becomes tiresome, but on the contrary, it's pretty entertaining and has some great moments as we advance.

Lo que me gusta es que vemos al personaje desde una perspectiva aérea y podemos ver con detalle los enemigos presentes en los niveles. Además, mientras avanzamos podemos estar dando espadazos a diestra y siniestra a casi cualquier cosa. Podemos realizar mejoras a nuestro armamento y encontrar un montón de objetos que nos ayudarán a terminar nuestra aventura.
I like that we see the character from an aerial perspective, and we can see in detail the enemies present in the levels. Also, as we advance, we can be giving swords left and right to almost anything. We can improve our weapons and find a lot of objects that will help us finish our adventure.
Estos serían mis tres videojuegos favoritos, pero realmente es algo difícil de definir, porque hay demasiados que podrían entrar en este top.
These would be my three favorite video games, but it's tough to define because too many could fit in this top.
