Hello everyone! This time I come with a quite interesting and addictive turn-based strategy game, it is titled "The battle of Polytopia" in this video game we will arrive at a small piece of land located somewhere in the galaxy, here we must take the role of the chief of some tribe and conquer everything that exists!
The battle of Polytopia is a game that stands out for its simplicity, it shows us that it is not necessary to be an excessively long or complicated video game to be a fun game, each battle is different, there are several tribes that we can lead and each one It has its own special ability, plus the level of difficulty and tribes available on the map will greatly influence the gameplay.
Once we are in Polytopia it is difficult not to remember other similar video games, classics like Age of Empires or Advance Wars, the gameplay of The battle of Polytopia really seems like a combination of both, taking a bit of the unit system established in Age of Empires and with an approach quite the same as the one in Advance Wars.
We start with a menu like the typical ones, with the usual options of a lifetime, single player mode, multiplayer mode and an options menu for the game. To tell you a little about the video game I will choose the single player mode.

For the single player mode we will have three different modes:
Perfection: Where we will play only 30 turns in which we will have to build a tribe as perfect and rich as possible.
Domination: Where we must finish off all the other tribes and dominate the entire map.
Creative: A casual mode where you choose to have total power over the map.
For the gameplay I will choose Domination mode.
In the next menu our task will be to choose which tribe we will command, there are 16 different tribes that start differently for their skills, 12 tribes of these 16 tribes start with skills that can be acquired by any of these 12 tribes while we play. The last 4 tribes are special, each one has a special skill that can only be used by that tribe and that greatly influences the gameplay.
For the gameplay I will choose the “Imperius” a tribe that lives near mountains and beautiful valleys, the land where we will start will also have several forests. Our starting skill will be organization.
Finally we must choose the difficulty of the game and the number of opponents. In my case I will play against 4 opponents on normal difficulty.
We can play against 1 or 15 more tribes, making a minimum total of 2 tribes on the map and a maximum of 16.
The difficulty will be easy, normal, hard or crazy.
And we have started! We will have a small welcome window that only asks us to explore the world and kill the other existing tribes. Zero mercy and long live Imperius!
We start our game, we will have a unit, the simplest available and five stars that represent our resources to build most of the buildings and to unlock new skills that allow us to advance in the game.
We can explore the map by moving our units.
The actions of the units depend on each one, some can only attack if they have not moved and others can attack after moving, also some can take the place of the enemy unit when killing it, others return to their original position. It is important to know what each unit does.
To advance with our tribe we must acquire resources that increase the population of our towns, thanks to the organizational ability of the Imperius tribe we can harvest fruits from the beginning, with a cost of 2 stars we can acquire a settler, the basic tribe requires 2 settlers to level up, that is 2 fruits with the costs of 4 stars in total.
As there were a couple of fruits from the beginning I decided to spend my stars to level up the initial city, every time we do this we have the possibility to choose between two things, the first level lets us choose between 1 more star in each turn or an explorer to show us a certain part of the map. In my case I always choose the extra star, since it seems to me to be very advantageous at the beginning.
To generate new units we need to have availability in the town that we are going to generate the unit and stars, the simplest unit costs 2 stars and is the warrior, a city at level 2 allows up to 3 units available on the map, with the initial warrior It will be 1 unit and with the new warrior there will be 2, allowing only one more to be created until one of them dies or the city levels up.
In the skills section we can see the skills that are available, hunting leads to unlock archery or forestry, horse riding unlocks routes or free spirit, thanks to the organization and we can now unlock the squires. Each skill is special and makes us strong in a different way.

It is important to control all possible structures on the map, we will have more resources and ways to intervene in battles, or include reinforcements, we can also join our structures with routes so that units move faster from one place to another and even generate more resources or unlock special structures that settlers give us.
To capture a city, simply place a unit on it and perform the upgrade option on the next turn.
It is important to explore the map, there are certain structures that can give us a significant advantage over the other tribes from the beginning of the game. We just need to capture them like we would a city.
In this gameplay I was very lucky and found an ancient structure which caused a friendly giant to join my tribe, since it is the strongest foot unit in the game it gives a phenomenal early game advantage.
My giant was spawned near a rival tribe, noticing this I took for granted that the game was won, the tribe had no way to defend itself against this unit and with the resources that I will acquire by conquering I will have a huge advantage.
I slowly defeated the enemy units until I occupied the rival city, with the help of some recently unlocked swordsmen I hoped to finish the job of conquering the Ai-Mo tribe pretty quickly.
After 3 turns I managed to occupy the last city of Ai-Mo, I also found the next tribe to fight. A few small Eskimos who lived on the hard ice.
And I destroyed the first tribe, the first step is taken and little by little I headed for an inevitable victory!
After several battles fought, i finally conquered the 3 closest tribes he had, battles fought across hills, roads, and even in the dark sea.
The job from turn 23 on was to finish off Luxidoor a tribe that by this point already knew his fate, even if he wasn't willing to accept it.
And finally Domination! After occupying the last city of Luxidoor I conquered the map, now I just had to finish this turn and end this game.
With a rating of 83% I can say that I played a good game, I only lost 4 units and managed to kill the 4 enemy tribes without the help of another tribe. My low score for the low level of difficulty.

The battle of Polytopia is a video game that stands out a lot for its playability and quite nice graphics. The simplicity and variety of the actions can lead anyone to design one strategy after another in order to achieve the best possible rating. A fluid and quite addictive game where you can hang out while you're on the bus or where you can play for 2 hours straight trying to get a perfect game on the highest difficulty.

The story is null, we see little of the Lore and the only thing we know is that we must conquer tribes and grow as the best tribe that has ever existed, originality is not the strongest aspect either, the battle of Polytopia is not the first game of this type, but it is one of the most developed and entertaining.

I think that the final score is fair, for me this game is not the best, but it does everything it proposes well, it is a quite entertaining casual game in which you can easily play about 100 games until you get tired, until it becomes a little repetitive, and I'm sure you'll play it again one day!

En esta ocasión llego con un juego de estrategia por turnos bastante interesante y adictivo, lleva por título “The battle of Polytopia” en este videojuego llegaremos a un pequeño pedazo de tierra ubicado en algún lugar de la galaxia, ¡aquí deberemos tomar el rol del jefe de alguna tribu y conquistar todo lo que exista!
The battle of Polytopia es un juego que destaca por su simpleza, nos demuestra que no es necesario ser un videojuego excesivamente largo o complicado para ser un juego divertido, cada batalla es diferente, existen varias tribus que podemos dirigir y cada una cuenta con su propia habilidad especial, además el nivel de dificultad y tribus disponibles en el mapa influirán bastante en el gameplay.
Una vez que estamos en Polytopia es difícil no recordar a otros videojuegos parecidos, clásicos como Age of Empires o Advance Wars, la jugabilidad de The battle of Polytopia parece realmente una combinación de ambos, tomando un poco del sistema de unidades establecido en Age of Empires y con un planteamiento bastante igual al existente en Advance Wars.
Empezamos con un menú como los típicos, con las opciones usuales de toda la vida, modo de un jugador, modo multijugador y un menú de opciones para el juego. Para hablarles un poco del videojuego elegiré el modo de un jugador.

Para el modo de un jugador tendremos tres modos distintos:
Perfección: Donde jugaremos solo 30 turnos en los cuales deberemos construir una tribu lo más perfecta y rica posible.
Dominación: Donde deberemos acabar con todas las otras tribus y dominar todo el mapa completo.
Creativo: Un modo casual donde eliges tienes poder total sobre el mapa.
Para el gameplay elegiré el modo Dominación .
En el siguiente menú nuestra tarea será elegir que tribu comandaremos, existen 16 tribus diferentes que comienzan de manera diferentes por sus destrezas, 12 tribus de estas 16 tribus empiezan con destrezas que pueden ser adquiridas por cualquiera de estas 12 tribus mientras jugamos una partida corrientes. Las ultimas 4 tribus son especiales, cada una tiene una destreza especial que solo puede ser usada por esa tribu y que influye mucho en el gameplay.
Para el gameplay elegiré a los “Imperius” una tribu que habita cerca de montañas y lindos valles, el terreno donde iniciaremos contara también con varios bosques. Nuestra destreza inicial será la de organización.
Por ultimo deberemos elegir la dificultad del juego y la cantidad de oponentes. En mi caso jugare contra 4 oponentes en la dificultad normal.
Podemos jugar contra 1 o 15 tribus más, haciendo un total mínimo de 2 tribus en el mapa y máximo de 16.
La dificultad será puede ser fácil, normal, difícil o alocada.
Y hemos empezado! Tendremos una pequeña ventana de bienvenida que solo nos pide explorar el mundo y acabar con las otras tribus existentes. ¡Cero misericordia y viva Imperius!
Empezamos nuestro juego, tendremos una unidad, la más simple disponible y cinco estrellas que representan nuestros recursos para construir la mayor parte de las edificaciones y para desbloquear nuevas destrezas que nos permitan avanzar en el juego.
Podremos explorar el mapa moviendo nuestras unidades.
Las acciones de las unidades dependen de cada una, algunas solo pueden atacar si no se han movido y otras pueden atacar después de moverse, además algunas pueden ocupar el puesto de la unidad enemiga al acabar con ella otras vuelven a su posición original.Es importante saber qué hace cada unidad.
Para avanzar con nuestra tribu debemos adquirir recursos que aumenten la población de nuestros pueblos, gracias a la habilidad de organización de la tribu Imperius podemos cosechar frutas desde el comienzo, con un costo de 2 estrellas podemos adquirir un poblador, la tribu básica requiere 2 pobladores para subir de nivel, es decir 2 frutas con el costos de 4 estrellas en total.
Como habían un par de frutas desde el comienzo decidí gastar mis estrellas para subir de nivel de la ciudad inicial, cada vez que hacemos esto tenemos la posibilidad de elegir entre dos cosas, el primer nivel nos deja elegir entre 1 estrella más en cada turno o un explorador que nos muestre cierta parte del mapa. En mi caso siempre elijo la estrella de más, dado que me parece de mucha ventaja en el comienzo.
Para generar nuevas unidades necesitamos tener disponibilidad en el pueblo que vamos a generar la unidad y estrellas, la unidad más simple cuesta 2 estrellas y es el guerrero, una ciudad al nivel 2 permite tener hasta 3 unidades disponibles en el mapa, con el guerrero inicial será 1 unidad y con el guerrero nuevo serán 2 permitiendo solo crear una más hasta que alguna muera o suba de nivel la ciudad.
En el apartado de destrezas podremos observar las destrezas que existen disponibles, caza lleva a desbloquear la arquería o la silvicultura, la monta de caballos desbloquea las rutas o el espíritu libre, gracias a la organización y ya podemos desbloquear a los escuderos. Cada destreza es especial y nos hace fuerte de una manera diferente.

Es importante controlar todas las estructuras posibles en el mapa, tendremos más recursos y maneras de intervenir en las batallas, o incluir refuerzos, también podemos unir nuestras estructuras con rutas para que las unidades se muevan más rápido de un sitio a otro e incluso generar más recursos o desbloquear estructuras especiales que nos brinden pobladores.
Para capturar una ciudad basta con colocar una unidad sobre ella y realizar la opción de actualizar en el siguiente turno.
Es importante explorar en el mapa, existen ciertas estructuras que nos pueden dar una ventaja bastante importante sobre las otras tribus desde el inicio del juego. Solo debemos capturarlas como lo haríamos con una ciudad.
En este gameplay tuve mucha suerte y encontré una estructura antigua que hizo que se uniera a mi tribu un gigante amistoso, dado que es la unidad a pie más fuerte del juego da una ventaja fenomenal al comienzo del juego.
Mi gigante se generó cerca de una tribu rival, al notar esto di por sentado que la partida estaba ganada, la tribu no tenía manera alguna de defenderse de esta unidad y con los recursos que adquiriré por conquistar tendré una ventaja enorme.
Poco a poco derrote a las unidades enemigas hasta ocupar la ciudad rival, con la ayuda de algunos espadachines recientemente desbloqueados esperaba terminar el trabajo de conquistar la tribu Ai-Mo bastante rápido.
Luego de 3 turnos logre ocupar la última ciudad de Ai-Mo, también encontré la siguiente tribu con la que combatir. Unos pequeños esquimales que vivían en el duro hielo.
Y destruí la primera tribu, el primer paso esta dado y poco a poco me encamine a una victoria inevitable!
Tras varias batalla libradas, finalmente conquiste las 3 tribus más cercanas que tenía, batallas libradas a través de colinas, caminos e incluso en el oscuro mar.
El trabajo a partir del turno 23 consistía en acabar con Luxidoor una tribu que ya para este punto conocía su destino, aunque no estuviera dispuesto a aceptarlo.
Y finalmente ¡Dominación! Tras ocupar la última ciudad de Luxidoor conquiste el mapa, ahora solo debía finalizar el presente turno y acabar con esta partida.
Con una calificación de 83% puedo decir que hice una buena partida, solo perdí 4 unidades y logre acabar con las 4 tribus enemigas sin la ayuda de otra tribu. Mi puntaje bajo por el bajo nivel de dificultad.

The battle of Polytopia es un videojuego que destaca bastante por su jugabilidad y gráficos bastante lindos. La simpleza y variedad de las acciones puede llevar a cualquier persona a diseñar una estrategia tras otra con el fin del alcanzar la mejor calificación posible. Un juego fluido y bastante adictivo donde puedes pasar el rato mientras vas en el bus o donde puedes estar jugar por 2 horas seguidas intentando lograr una partida perfecta en la dificultad más alta.

The battle of Polytopia se destaca por su jugabilidad, la generación de mapas es diferente tras cada partida y la posibilidad de añadir hasta 15 tribus rivales hace de este juego uno muy adictivo y entretenido, siempre estarás intentando hacer la partida perfecta o lograr el puntaje más alto.

La historia es nula, poco vemos del Lore y lo único que sabemos es que debemos conquistar tribus y crecer como la mejor tribu que haya existido, la originalidad tampoco es el aspecto más fuerte, the battle of Polytopia no es el primer juego de este tipo, pero sí uno de los más desarrollados y entretenidos.

Creo que la puntuación final es justa, para mi este juego no es el mejor, pero hace bien todo lo que se propone, es un juego casual bastante entretenido en el que puedes jugar fácilmente unas 100 partidas hasta cansarte, hasta que se torne un poco repetitivo, e igual seguro lo vuelves a jugar algún dia!
