Ya win some, ya lose some.

Last time, we got some super sexy armor, got some more fancy armor, found a couple of bug companions that I sent to a house (and since have lost?), and ended the session with a nebulous plan to go back and smash more of the Saints & Seducers.
Which, is... not quite where we start today. You see, I did a bit of running about off-camera, and completed a side-quest as part of my off-camera escapades.

As part of that, I got the fancy staff you see in the title card for today's post & video. It's a super fun little quest that you snag in Dawnstar. It features some mechanics that I don't recall seeing elsewhere in the game and has a split reward depending on how moral or immoral you are with a key choice.
We chose to lean into our inner evil, of course. I mean, a demon whispered inside our head. What, am I just supposed to ignore that? Nay-nay. We do what the voices say.
This is where we pick up today's episode. A side-mission complete, a fancy new staff that I'm going to chuck into a box and likely never look at again, and a plan to continue down the path of slaughtering some of those damned interlopers from Sheogorath's domain.
But, the best-laid schemes o' mice an' men. Gang aft agley, as my dad used to say.
If you're not familiar with the idiom, that is to say: shit went sideways real fast. Not that we didn't get anything done - we did... it just... well, you'll see.
The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.
