Hello, Hivers! I hope you are having a good day. I apologize for my recent absence, but I am back now. I believe my hiatus was due to my excessive League of Legends playtime (yes, I have relapsed into that vice haha). However, I managed to break free from LoL a few days ago. As I reflected on my gaming habits, I realized that I craved a challenging single-player experience. Therefore, I chose the magnificent game Blasphemous, which I have always seen praised by many in the community, including some friends.
Although Blasphemous 2 was recently released, I decided to complete the first game before moving on to the sequel. Otherwise, it would not make sense, haha. I will strive to complete the game at a decent pace, thoroughly exploring the world while maintaining a brisk tempo. I hope you enjoy this series.
The first encounter I had with the game was that they showed you a bit of the initial lore, which, to be honest, I didn't understand much. I only understood something about it being a sort of cult that pays tribute to a miraculous being, but that it was in charge of punishing them according to their sins or their actions. I have to say that I didn't understand well because I was on Discord talking to my friends while starting the game, but after that, I already focused on trying to understand the lore, since this kind of game, in my opinion, excels more in that.
I loved the visual aspect of the game. I feel like it's very eye-catching. I also feel like the mechanics are pretty easy to understand. Of course, they also explain them very well at the beginning. From the start I see that the game doesn't have the option to choose any difficulty, so I guess it will increase little by little as we progress.
I quickly encounter what I consider the introductory boss of the game, the Guardian of Lament. I think it's made for us to learn the most important thing in the game, which I think is dodging, as the bosses here usually have unstoppable attacks (although there is a parry option, I learned it later). However, I have to confess that I felt quite clumsy with this boss, as even though his attacks were quite simple, I still didn't dodge them correctly. Although I didn't die once, I feel like I shouldn't have lost so much life, haha.
After killing this boss, there was an ultra-epic cinematic where we cut off a part of the guardian, drained its blood into our helmet, and put it on. I think it was such an epic thing that I forgot I had cut the recording after defeating the boss. I do that to keep some recordings from being too long or heavy, but I already learned that I should wait a bit after defeating the bosses, so I don't miss those kinds of scenes and can bring them in the posts haha.
I spent the next few hours of the game somewhat lost, as I quickly realized that this isn't one of those linear games where it's just following a route. Well, clearly at the beginning it is, but once the first boss is defeated, we get to an area that is like a poor village, where something like the village chief asks us for some help to get ingredients for the different refugees.
Investigating a bit without knowing where to go, I came to a statue that's kind of like our personal blacksmith, only a bit weirder, haha. But clearly, we have to give them something like souls in the best dark souls style.
It's just that in this game you can't look away for a second. Every single cinematic is so creepy, but at the same time, you feel like if you don't watch it you're missing out on a little piece of the lore.
I also encountered something like a traveling merchant, from whom I didn't know what to buy. I just bought a key to a room, I think it said "Big Brother". But well, I guess that's something that will be useful for later.
After finally getting a route that led me to a boss, we encountered the boss "Have Mercy". I have to say that this name is a bit peculiar, haha, but I'm not one to criticize. But well, in this boss is where I met the first death. I think it was for not taking into account all the range that the boss had, not to mention that the space it gives us to fight with some bosses is quite small, so it is important not to let me corner.
With this boss, I had a couple of attempts, mostly because I didn't respect the difficulty of the game correctly. Sometimes I stayed a long time thinking that I was going to be able to dodge in the exact pixel, but it never turned out that way, as the boss reacted faster. For now, I haven't tested if you can parry the bosses, since I learned about this mechanic shortly after killing this boss.
One thing I don't know is if I will be following the right order in which I should go. Maybe this is a boss I was supposed to kill later on, as I had to go through many doors to get to it. Still, I liked it, and I'll keep playing it that way. I'll figure out at the end if I made any mistakes, haha.

This game I feel will be a great experience, as it didn't take long to captivate me with all the visual art. I also need to pay a lot more attention to the lore, as I feel it is an important part of the experience of this game. But I'm also glad that I've found something to enjoy and take me away from League of Legends a bit. Though hey, I'll still be watching Worlds this week, haha.

¡Hola, Hivers! Espero que estéis teniendo un buen día. Os pido disculpas por mi reciente ausencia, pero ya estoy de vuelta. Creo que mi parón se debió a mi excesivo tiempo jugando a League of Legends (sí, he recaído en ese vicio haha). Sin embargo, hace unos días conseguí liberarme de LoL. Al reflexionar sobre mis hábitos de juego, me di cuenta de que ansiaba una experiencia desafiante para un solo jugador. Por lo tanto, elegí el magnífico juego Blasphemous, que siempre he visto alabado por muchos en la comunidad, incluidos algunos amigos.
Aunque Blasphemous 2 salió hace poco, decidí completar el primer juego antes de pasar a la secuela. De lo contrario, no tendría sentido haha. Me esforzaré por completar el juego a un ritmo decente, explorando a fondo el mundo mientras mantengo un ritmo enérgico. Espero que disfrutéis de esta serie.
El primer encuentro que tuve con el juego fue que te muestran un poco del lore inicial, el cual, siendo sincero, no entendí mucho. Solo entendí algo de que es una especie de culto que rinde tributo a un ser milagroso, pero que era el encargado de castigarlos según sus pecados o sus acciones. Tengo que decir que no entendí bien porque estaba en el Discord hablando con mis amigos mientras iniciaba el juego, pero luego de eso ya me centré en intentar entender el lore, ya que esta clase de juego, a mi parecer, destaca más en eso.
El aspecto visual del juego me encantó. Siento que está muy llamativo. También siento que las mecánicas son bastante fáciles de entender. Claro, también las explican muy bien al inicio. Desde el inicio veo que el juego no tiene la opción de elegir alguna dificultad, así que supongo que irá incrementando poco a poco mientras progresamos.
Rápidamente me encuentro con lo que considero el jefe introductorio del juego, el Guardian del lamento. Creo que está hecho para que aprendamos lo más importante del juego, que yo pienso que es esquivar, ya que los jefes aquí suelen tener ataques imparables (aunque hay una opción de parry, pero la aprendí más adelante). Sin embargo, tengo que confesar que me sentí bastante torpe con este jefe, ya que aunque sus ataques eran bastante simples, aún así no los evadía correctamente. Aunque no morí ninguna vez, siento que no debía haber perdido tanta vida, haha.
Luego de matar a este jefe, hubo una cinemática ultra épica donde cortamos una parte del guardián, drenamos su sangre en nuestro casco, y nos lo colocamos. Creo que fue algo tan épico que me olvidé que había cortado la grabación tras vencer al jefe. Hago eso para evitar que algunas grabaciones sean muy largas o pesadas, pero ya aprendí que debo esperar un poco luego de vencer a los jefes, para no perderme ese tipo de escenas y poder traerlas en los post haha.
Pasé las siguientes horas del juego algo perdido, ya que rápidamente me di cuenta de que este no es uno de esos juegos lineales donde es simplemente seguir una ruta. Bueno, claramente al principio sí, pero una vez derrotado el primer jefe, llegamos a una zona que es como un pueblo pobre, donde algo así como el jefe de la aldea nos pide un poco de ayuda para conseguir ingredientes para los diferentes refugiados.
Investigando un poco sin saber a dónde ir, llegué a una estatua que es algo así como nuestro herrero personal, solo que un poco más raro, haha. Pero claramente tenemos que darles algo así como almas al mejor estilo de dark souls.
Es que en este juego no puedes apartar la mirada ni un segundo. Cada cinemática es tan tétrica, pero a su vez sientes que si no la ves te estás perdiendo un pedacito del lore.
También encontré algo así como un mercader ambulante, al cual no sabía qué comprarle. Solo compré una llave de una habitación, creo que decía “hermano mayor”. Pero bueno, supongo que es algo que servirá para más adelante.
Luego de por fin conseguir una ruta que me llevó a un jefe, nos encontramos con el jefe "Ten piedad". Tengo que decir que este nombre es un poco peculiar, haha, pero no soy nadie para criticar. Pero bueno, en este jefe es donde conocí la primera muerte. Creo que fue por no tomar en cuenta todo el rango que tenía el jefe, sin contar que el espacio que nos da para pelear con algunos jefes es bastante reducido, por lo que es importante no dejarme arrinconar.
Con este jefe tuve un par de intentos, más que nada por no respetar correctamente la dificultad del juego. A veces me quedaba mucho rato pensando que iba a poder esquivar en el pixel exacto, pero nunca resultaba así, ya que el jefe reaccionaba más rápido. Por ahora no he probado si se le puede hacer parry a los jefes, ya que esta mecánica la conocí poco después de matar a este jefe.

Este juego siento que será una gran experiencia, ya que no le tomó mucho tiempo para cautivarme con todo el arte visual. También debo prestar mucha más atención al lore, ya que me parece una parte importante en la experiencia de este juego. Pero también me alegra que haya encontrado algo que me divierta y me haga alejarme un poco del League of Legends. Aunque bueno, aún así estaré viendo los Worlds esta semana, haha.
