Hope my fellow hive gamers are having a great day. Well, I barely managed to play another 2 hours plus of Devil May Cry 2001. I took a deep breath this time and I was prepared. I knew I would have a better day overall. For the recap in part one, we played till we have to free the Shadow who was guarding the front gate of lions. In my review, I would say the devs emphasized the DMC world lore super well considering the time period of this game which is 2001, with small details here and there. If you are not careful enough you might even lose a few clues. But I think I got pretty used to it as time was passing. I have gotten back to Twitch which was my former platform for streaming most of the time, I really enjoy it there. Streaming in twitch feels like I'm streaming on the right platform for some reason, besides the platform is going to shit these days with their shitty management and all.
In today's stream after encountering Phantom, and running away from him we started our journey by defeating the shadow. At first, while running away from phantom I really struggled but got used to their wanky jumping and movements. We encountered the reflection of Dante who became Boss Nelo Angelo, the worst possible case was him teleporting to different areas. Almost felt like the dude is super weak that he would like to run away from me haha. Just right after that, we would have to encounter shadow. Wasn't expecting so that was an enjoyable challenge. There was many platforming in-game this time around we had a timer to collect the Melancholy Soul and deliver it before the time runs out. Having map awareness is a must while playing this old 2001 Devil may cry as you could wander around the map aimlessly as the game doesn't tell you where you should be heading next without the instruction of the title screen. Everything
then totally depends on how you explore the map and keep tabs on the details. There are many collectibles in different corners of the map, if you want to have the upper hand in the game in difficult times, I would suggest collecting all of them. Once again after closing this level just before the end you would have to encounter Phantom once and for all, this time Phantom would take last glimpse at you to realize it wasn't a mare man but a Sparda Son. After you clear this level you would have to do some sewer works, which they call evil to the waterways. I kid you not, it's creepy and not my favorite. Don't forget the kill the bugs, once you get back with a key from that area you would have to do some parkour to open a gate, and please don't forget to get your shotgun as you would be dealing with some more Phantoms in the fountain courtyard area. We dealt with another knight afterward a "feathery f*ck". It was more annoying than other bosses as it tend to fly away from my melee attacks but it's easier overall as you have to face it with your newly gained power of fists (Fire Fists - to my knowledge I forgot the name) Then, Some puzzle area where you would have to follow light and get inside a ghost ship to protect it from more demons
