HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!
It's been a while since I've felt like doing my introduction again, not to spam about me, just that my first introduction sucked. That post was written from the Ecency application. My post wasn't the best in the world, but for a first one, it wasn't bad, at least in the preview it looked decent. After publishing it and reviewing it directly from Hive, I realized that the post was very bad, it was totally deformed, I'm pretty sure I didn't edit it. You'll notice it really sucks.
Who am I and how did I meet Hive?
My name is Christian and I'm currently 24 years old and I was born in Venezuela. I came to Hive thanks to @syberia, a genius midget who I think is now much taller than me. Thanks to him, I got to know Hive Gaming. He mentioned to me that there were users who were creating content related to videogames and that thanks to that they were receiving very good rewards. I won't lie to you, at that time I was going through a horrible time with my family, I needed some money urgently and I was just thinking about it. I dusted off my old writing skills and got to work. Quickly, I started to see a lot of support in my posts, so I kept going and here I am. I know I haven't been as active as I was in my early days, but that's something that's not going to happen anymore, this year I want to go all out. I consider myself to be someone who gets demotivated very quickly, but when I get motivated, I get up even stronger, so 2022, be prepared that I'm going all out.
A lot has changed since then, I still need money, but I don't publish for money or for rewards, I publish because I really like writing, even though I'm not a born writer and not a good writer, it's something I really enjoy. My mind is always on Hive from the moment I wake up, that's amazing. Throughout all this time I've met amazing users, I've made friends, I've had a lot of fun, I've become very fond of it, and I hope to continue doing it for years to come.
My past as a Youtuber
We all wanted to be Youtubers at some stage of our lives, at least I wanted to be seen, I wanted to be seen enjoying with my friends, I wanted to entertain people, to do what I really liked, and maybe in the future, to make a living out of it. This was not an easy task; there were days when I was very demotivated, other days when I came back with a lot of strength, but in the end I ended up quitting. My official channel had an average of 1000 subscribers, I don't know how I did it, but I did it. I met people from other countries who played and we made small collaborations together to feed back our channels and grow even more, it was crazy, it was living the dream, a small dream.
This is one of the videos I appreciate the most from my little "career" as a Youtuber in the gamer scene:
I'm a little ashamed to show this part of me, but at the same time it fills me with pride. 2013-2014, I feel they were the years I enjoyed the most with friends, we played a lot of video games and uploaded everything to Youtube without fear of anything, we just wanted to show others our nonsense. Holy Shit, just admire those fps drops and that gameplay quality, a little gem honestly. Later on, my friends and I were splitting up, we didn't play like we used to, it wasn't the same, so as I mentioned before, I quit. I discovered that what really motivated me was them. The whole school wanted to see my videos (I'm not kidding) and no matter how simple they were, I always received good comments from them and they would tell me: "When will the next one be ready? It is at that moment that the American dream fizzled out.
Still, for as long as I can remember, I like to be seen. Since I was a little kid I used to make movies with my toys, my own short films with my own incredible dubbing, honestly I had a lot of imagination, much more than I do now. I also liked to record myself playing the cuatro (it is an instrument similar to the Ukelele, only with a different tuning). Later I tried again, I went back to Youtube. This time I was doing something different, we were a single channel, we each made content separately to keep the channel alive with constant videos and on weekends we would get together to make videos together. I would like to show you a video from that old channel, but they are no longer available.
Then I wanted to do something more IRL, something that was based on small Vlogs, something more cinematic focused. I didn't have money for a camera, so I always used my Nokia Lumia 1020, a phone I love with my soul. I made very few videos on that channel, but I liked them a lot, still they are nothing professional, it was all a hobby and I only made them occasionally. This is also a somewhat personal video, I was exploring an abandoned place with one of my ex-partners. It was fun.
And that was the end of my time as a Youtuber. I still continue to upload content to my "Perce" channel, but they are only videos that I want to add to my posts. Inside me there is still that desire to upload videos and be recognized, but that spark is faint. Maybe I'll try again, I don't know. In the end, every video I made, ended up becoming something personal, something that only my circle of friends and family knew about.
Some of my goals for this year 2022
This year I have a lot of things I want to do. One of them is to move to another country. For that to happen I have to organize myself well, and the most important thing: recover my health. I have had a constant cough for a long time and other health problems that require prompt attention, so by next week at the latest, I will start with a check-up to know my condition and after that, continue with the treatment. Relax, my cough is not Covid, I haven't been out in over a year, so don't worry, really.
After that, being in another country or here, I want to focus on what I want to do the most, the streaming. Doing it from here will be complicated, but maybe it will be possible at some point. It wouldn't be bad to be a Streamer for a while. I hope so, at least so far I've achieved everything I've set out to do and I still have time left, so I won't give up until I achieve what I want.
There are also many other things I want to do, but I must go little by little, first solving the problems already mentioned, then filling those empty spaces with each of my accomplishments until I have achieved most of them, and then going for new goals, even more demanding goals.
My Hive goals
I know that Hive will grow much more, I am certain of it and I want to be part of that growth. I know I am far from being a pillar, someone fundamental, but I know that with effort, less procrastination and a lot of work, I can achieve it. I would like to have at least 40k HP by the end of the year. Will I be able to achieve it? We will see. Also many other things, honestly I would like to have a considerable amount of real and loyal followers, followers who value and really enjoy the content I do.
Some things about me
- There have been several users who have asked the reason for my username "perceval". Is it because of the movie Ready Player One?
Yes and no. I liked the name when I heard it in the movie and I liked it much more when I felt identified with the character that carried it, but I didn't keep the name just for that, it also has its meaning and its history, which I loved, besides, it sounds cool.
- Do I do anything else? Studies or other occupation?
Currently I just read, write, listen to music, play video games and sleep. I used to make music but right now it's on the back burner. I studied law for several years, but I dropped out of college because I couldn't afford it. I also studied computer science for several years, but I could not continue since the appearance of Covid. There was the possibility of continuing my studies through the internet, but they raised the price of the monthly fee and it seemed to me too exaggerated price to receive online classes, at least I am not in favor of online classes, I prefer face-to-face.
- Brothers or sisters?
Yes, I have two sisters. I would say they are little, but I think they look much bigger than me now. One of them has her blog on Hive, kind of abandoned, but at least she tried. I hope she can continue to write and find what she really likes.
2021 was not the best year in the world by far, but it has not been the worst for me either. I have been able to accomplish many things, that no matter how small they may seem, have been worthwhile. I have been able to make investments, investments that have not turned out too well, others that have, the point is that before Hive, before all this, making a simple investment was impossible for me. I have been a bit capricious, I have acquired some games that are somewhat expensive, also some cosmetic items to improve my characters, I have done many things that the old me reproached for not being able to do them. I still remember this thought, "If I had money, I would never spend it on a video game". Sorry old me, I failed. The 2020 I achieved many things too, I was able to build my own pc, which so far has behaved amazing and I hope it continues to do so, as it is my main work tool, and although it is not the best pc in the world, I love it. It's only been a little more than a year since I've been in Hive, I feel like it's been an eternity, I don't know why, but that's how I feel, a lot of things have happened.
So, a lot of text. I think so far my new intro is 3000% better than the last one. I will always be grateful to those investors who risk and give everything for their project here at Hive, they help a lot of people, they help a lot of things to change, they help people to keep dreaming, I owe them a lot. It's time for me to give them all that back.

FELIZ AÑO NUEVO A TODOS!
Hace bastante tiempo he tenido ganas de volver a hacer mi introducción, no para hacer spam acerca de mi, solo que mi primera introducción fue una mierda. Aquél post fue escrito desde la aplicación de Ecency. Mi post no era el mejor del mundo, pero para ser el primero, no estaba mal, al menos en la vista previa se veía decente. Después de publicarlo y revisarlo directamente desde Hive, me di cuenta que el post estaba muy mal, se había deformado totalmente, estoy casi seguro de que no lo edité. Te darás cuenta que es un verdadero asco.
¿Quién soy y como conocí Hive?
Mi nombre es Christian y actualmente tengo 24 años de edad, además nací en Venezuela. Llegué a Hive gracias a @syberia, un enano genio que creo que ahora es mucho más alto que yo. Gracias a él, conocí Hive Gaming. Él me mencionó que habían usuarios los cuales estaban creando contenido relacionado a los videojuegos y que gracias a eso estaban recibiendo muy buenas recompensas. No les mentiré, en aquél entonces me encontraba pasando por un momento horrible junto a mi familia, necesitaba algo de dinero urgente y solo pensaba en ello. Desempolvé mis viejas skills de escritura y me puse a trabajar. Rápidamente, empecé a ver muchísimo apoyo en mis posts, así que seguí con constancia y aquí estoy. Sé que no he estado tan activo como en mis comienzos, pero eso es algo que ya no va a pasar más, este año quiero ir con todo. Considero que soy alguien que se desmotiva muy rápido, pero cuando coge motivación, se levanta aún mucho más fuerte, así que 2022, prepárate que voy con todo.
Muchas cosas han cambiado desde ese entonces, aún sigo necesitando dinero, pero no publico por dinero o por recompensas, publico porque realmente me gusta escribir, a pesar de que no soy un escritor nato y ni mucho menos un buen escritor, es algo que me gusta muchísimo. Mi mente siempre está en Hive desde que me levanto, eso es increíble. A lo largo de todo este tiempo he conocido a usuarios increíbles, he hecho amigos, he disfrutado muchísimo, me he encariñado bastante, y espero seguir haciéndolo durante años.
Mi pasado como Youtuber
Todos hemos querido ser Youtubers en alguna etapa de nuestras vidas, al menos yo quería ser visto, quería que me vieran disfrutar junto a mis amigos, quería entretener a la gente, hacer lo que realmente me gustaba, y tal vez en un futuro, lograr vivir de ello. Esto no fue una tarea sencilla; hubieron días en los que me desmotivaba muchísimo, otros días en los que volvía con muchas fuerzas, pero al final lo acabé dejando. Mi canal oficial tuvo una media de 1000 suscriptores, no sé como lo logré, pero lo hice. Conocí a gente de otros países que jugaban y hacíamos pequeñas colaboraciones juntos para retroalimentar nuestros canales y poder crecer aún más, era una locura, era vivir el sueño, un pequeño sueño.
Este es uno de los vídeos que más aprecio de mi pequeña "carrera" como Youtuber en el ámbito gamer:
Me da un poco de vergüenza mostrar esta parte de mi, pero a la vez me llena de orgullo. 2013-2014, siento que fueron los años en los que más disfruté junto a amigos, jugábamos muchísimos videojuegos y subíamos todo a Youtube sin miedo a nada, solo queríamos mostrarle a los demás nuestras tonterías. Holy Shit, admiren esos drops de fps y esa calidad de gameplay, una joyita sinceramente. Más tarde, mis amigos y yo nos fuimos separando, ya no jugábamos como antes, no era lo mismo, así que como lo mencioné antes, lo dejé. Descubrí que lo que realmente me motivaba, eran ellos. Toda la escuela quería ver mis vídeos(no bromeo) y por más simples que eran, siempre recibía buenos comentarios por parte de ellos y me decían: "¿Para cuando el siguiente?". Es en ese momento que el sueño americano se esfumó.
Aún así, desde que tengo memoria, me gusta ser visto. Desde pequeño yo mismo hacía películas con mis juguetes, mis propios cortometrajes con mis increíbles doblajes, sinceramente tenía muchísima imaginación, mucha más que ahora. También me gustaba grabarme tocando el cuatro(es un instrumento parecido a un Ukelele, solo que con afinación distinta). Más tarde volví a intentarlo, volví a Youtube. Esta vez hacía algo diferente, éramos un solo canal, cada uno hacíamos contenido por separado para mantener el canal vivo con constantes vídeos y los fines de semana nos reuníamos para hacer vídeos en conjunto. Quisiera mostrarles un vídeo de ese viejo canal, pero ya no están disponibles.
Luego quise hacer algo más IRL, algo que se basara en pequeños Vlogs, algo más enfocado en lo cinematográfico. No tenía dinero para una cámara, así que siempre utilicé mi Nokia Lumia 1020, un teléfono que adoro con mi alma. Hice muy pocos vídeos en ese canal, pero me gustaron mucho, aún así no son nada profesionales, todo era un hobby y solo los hacía ocasionalmente. Este también es un vídeo algo personal, estaba explorando un lugar abandonado con una de mis ex parejas. Fue divertido.
Y así culminó mi etapa como Youtuber. Aún sigo subiendo contenido a mi canal de "Perce", pero solo son vídeos que quiero añadir a mis posts. Dentro de mí sigue existiendo esas ganas de subir vídeos y que me reconozcan, pero esa chispa es leve. Tal vez lo intente otra vez, no lo sé. Al final, cada vídeo que hice, se terminó convirtiendo en algo personal, algo que solo mi círculo de amigos y familia conocían.
Algunas de mis metas para este año 2022
Este año tengo un montón de cosas que quiero hacer. Una de ellas es irme a vivir a otro país. Para que eso suceda debo de organizarme bien, y lo más importante: recuperar mi salud. Tengo una tos constante desde hace mucho tiempo y otros problemas de salud que requieren pronta atención, así que más tardar para la semana que viene, comience con un chequeo para saber mi condición y después de ahí, seguir con el tratamiento. Tranquilos, mi tos no es Covid, no he salido en más de un año, así que no se preocupen, en serio.
Después de eso, estando en otro país o acá, quiero enfocarme en lo que más quiero hacer, stremear. Hacerlo desde acá será complicado, pero tal vez se pueda en algún momento. No estaría mal ser Streamer por un rato. Espero que sí, al menos hasta ahora he logrado todo lo que me he propuesto y aún me queda tiempo, así que no me rendiré hasta lograr lo que quiero.
También hay otras muchas cosas más que quiero hacer, pero debo ir poco a poco, primero resolviendo los problemas ya mencionados, luego ir llenando esos espacios vacíos con cada uno de mis logros hasta haber conseguido la mayoría, y así ir a por nuevas metas, metas incluso más exigentes.
Metas en Hive
Sé que Hive crecerá mucho más, tengo certeza de ello y quiero ser parte de ese crecimiento. Sé que estoy muy lejos de ser un pilar, alguien fundamental, pero sé que con esfuerzo, menos procrastinación y mucho trabajo, puedo lograrlo. Quisiera tener al menos 40k de HP para fin de año. ¿Podré lograrlo? Ya lo veremos. También muchas otras cosas, sinceramente me gustaría tener una cantidad considerable de seguidores reales y fieles, seguidores que valoren y de verdad disfruten el contenido que hago.
Algunas curiosidades sobre mi:
- Han habido varios usuarios que han preguntado el porqué de mi username "perceval". ¿Se debe a la película Ready Player One?
Si y no. El nombre me gustó cuando lo escuché en la película y me gustó mucho más cuando me sentí identificado con el personaje que lo portaba, pero no me quedé con el nombre solo por eso, también tiene su significado y su historia, los cuales me encantaron, además, suena genial.
- ¿Me dedico a algo más? ¿Estudios u otra ocupación?
Actualmente solo me dedico a leer, escribir, escuchar música, jugar videojuegos y dormir. Hacía música pero ahora mismo está en segundo plano. He estudiado derecho por varios años, pero abandoné la universidad por no poder pagarla. También estudié por varios años informática, pero no pude continuar desde la aparición del Covid. Existía la posibilidad de continuar mis estudios a través de internet, pero subieron el precio de la mensualidad y me parecía un precio demasiado exagerado para recibir clases online, al menos yo no estoy a favor de las clases online, prefiero lo presencial.
- ¿Tengo hermanos o hermanas?
Si, tengo dos hermanas. Diría que son pequeñas, pero creo que ahora parecen mucho más grandes que yo. Una de ellas tiene su blog en Hive, algo abandonado, pero al menos lo intentó. Espero que pueda continuar escribiendo y que encuentre lo que realmente le gusta.
2021 no fue el mejor año del mundo ni de lejos, pero tampoco ha sido el peor para mi. He podido lograr muchas cosas, que por más pequeñas que parezcan, han valido la pena. He podido hacer inversiones, inversiones que no han salido demasiado bien, otras que si, el punto es que antes de Hive, antes de todo esto, hacer una simple inversión era imposible para mi. He sido un poco caprichoso, he adquirido algunos juegos que son algo costosos, también algunos items cosméticos para mejorar mis personajes, he hecho muchas cosas que el viejo yo reprochaba por no poder hacerlas. Aún recuerdo este pensamiento: "Si tuviera dinero, jamás lo gastaría en un videojuego". Lo siento viejo yo, fracasé. El 2020 logré muchas cosas también, pude armar mi propia pc, la cual hasta ahora se a comportado increíble y espero que lo siga haciendo, ya que es mi herramienta principal de trabajo, y aunque no es la mejor pc del mundo, la adoro. Solo ha pasado poco más de un año desde que estoy en Hive siento que ha pasado una eternidad, no sé porqué, pero así lo siento, han pasado muchas cosas.
Así que, mucho texto. Creo que hasta ahora mi nueva introducción es 3000% mejor que la anterior. Siempre estaré agradecido a esos inversores que se arriesgan y lo dan todo por su proyecto aquí en Hive, ayudan a muchísima gente, ayudan a que muchas cosas cambien, ayudan a que la gente no pare de soñar, les debo mucho. Es hora de que les devuelva todo eso.
Mencionaría a todos los que han estado conmigo en Hive durante más de un año desde el comienzo, pero creo que ya lo he hecho varias veces. Si eres uno de ellos, lo sabrás, y si lees esto, quiero darte las gracias y desearte lo mejor del mundo para este nuevo año, los amo chicos.
