Gaming runs in my veins. So, in 2018 I met with a game then called steemonsters and now called splinterlands and literally fallen in love with it. Been playing it since then and it's 2021 now!
In the course of past three and a half year I met with more of gaming in metaverse. This year was axie infinity, thetan arena and few more.
I was playing hard with my ID and this year the gains were amazing so I gathered a huge amount by playing hard.
Couple of days ago my Id Got hacked and cards worth of $2015 were stolen and I approached literally everyone in the gaming community I know and the official splinterands's support as well. But there's nothing they did as they only told that this is decentralised platform and they do not have control over such hackers. They didn't even blocked the hacker as he was cheating other people as we speak.
The another heart-breaking case I witnessed was my axie infinity account. During couple of month ago I purchased three axies which were quite expensive according to me and I played for around two weeks and suddenly a hacker gifted my axie to his account and in a minute everything was lost!
I was devastated, Literally went to everyone in order to seek help but nothing happened. My account worth of $800 was stolen by some hacker.
These three pretty angels were hacked and gone in minutes with the slp I had collected as well.
This turned out to be a heart-breaking disaster.
I strongly believe such games as they are big source of earning and what not, these should be under the developers control in a way that they could either retrieve the stolen assets or ban the hacker! As many people are reluctant to join the metaverse gaming due to security issues.
There such be a secure lock to the assets in the account and antitheft program should be developed.
As we love the game but the security sucks and we need to swallow the fact that hacked cards cannot be retrieved and move on.
