Hello, gamers. Welcome back to my blog.

In the last post, we were hunting springbok in the middle of the Vuxa region at Savanna Reserve. While we have explored a lot of Vuxa we still have a lot to explore on this map.
I was assigned a new mission it was a relatively easy one. I had to go to a place called Mahahlwa Ohivisi. Some poachers have placed traps around this area and we have to locate and remove those. This was still 1.25 km from my current outpost so I put up a marker on the map and started to travel to that location. I saw a scrub hare but it was faster than me and hid in the grasses.
I didn't stop and when I reached the marker location only then I realised I have come to the wrong place haha. I forgot to put the new marker and this was the marker for the last mission. That was so stupid of me and I had to get back to my starting outpost and start again (hopefully to the right location this time).
I didn't get distracted by all the animal calls and footprints, I wanted to reach there. Finally, after some time I was in the area. This was a beautiful place in Vuxa with two lakes side by side and is also called the Twin Lakes.
I had to remove 3 traps around these two lakes. Two of the traps were close to the water and the last one was in the bushes and a little harder to spot. After removing all those I got rewarded with more XP and cash. We have a huge poaching problem here in this reserve and I won't be surprised to see more missions related to this theme.
After this, I focused on the main story mission. I was yet to explore other regions and my next mission was to go to the southern region of the map, this area is called the Dzonga. There is a Cave in this area and I had to go and check that out.
Fortunately for me, I had an unlocked outpost close to this area which reduced my walking time by half. I was minding my own business when suddenly I was attacked by a herd of Cape Buffalos.
Two of them came charging at me and dodging both of them at the same time was not easy. I quickly switched to my shotgun but the shotgun is not powerful enough to take down this beast quickly. They managed to hit me a couple of times before I gunned them down with my shotgun and rifle.
One of them took like 5 bullets to die. What a beefy unit. I was scared for a bit there. When the dust settled I was on very low health and scared of more surprise Buffalo attacks. I have had some Bisons charge at me before but they are much easier to take down relative to these Cape Buffalos, especially when they attack in groups like this.
I was watchful now and slowly got to the cave entrance. Why was I visiting a cave? Well, there is one of the oldest cave paintings here and its restoration work is going on right now. So, I had to take some pictures and assess the work that has been done here recently. I was doing this for my warden who is also my grandfather.
It was not easy to find this cave. I had the coordinates but the mountain made it difficult to climb and I could not risk taking any fall damage.
I took the pictures of the restored paintings and the warden was satisfied so this completed the current mission.
One interesting thing happened during this time. There were two entrances to the cave. I entered from one and when I decided to exit from the other I saw 5 Buffalos standing right outside the cave.
They were right on the edge but were unable to come inside. I think I found a glitch here. This cave was protecting me from those Cape Buffalos who was probably so mad as I killed two of their friends.
This was my lucky day and I sniped all of them one after the other. It was like target practice for me. And believe me, they give a lot of XP and cash rewards.
I got brain shots, which are the toughest and quickest way to drop any animal. But you don't get all the harvest checks as the trophy organs for these buffalos are their heads and damaging them will give us less trophy ratings.
Anyways, I harvest all of them and saw a warthog just a few hundred meters from there. I made a mistake and ran towards it which spooked his mate who was hiding in the bushes and while running for his life, it hit me and that was all I could take. I died by a little warthog after surviving a brutal Buffalo attack. With a slight smile, I quit the session.
Thanks for reading...
Until next time...
