Hello and welcome back to my blog!

I am a bit late to the party but yeah, Happy New Year everyone! I hope this year is the best one so far!
Let's start this year on Hive by posting about my favourite topic, GAMING! I have played a lot of games and shared my experiences on my posts in the past two years that I have been on Hive. And today is a slightly different one.
There is a new gaming community on Hive, Gaming Photography. And they came up with an interesting contest. I am sharing what I came up with to show more examples of what you can do in this creative contest!
If you haven't read the contest post yet, it is a simple one, just share a few screenshots from your favourite games by somehow making the "Happy New Year" sign with whatever means you can get.

How about Minetest?
At first, I wanted to do a Minetest one, which I did but was too basic and not so creative for my taste.

So, yeah. Here is a simple example of what you can do with games like this. You can go nuts and do a lot of creative stuff with it, make it all moving and dynamic but it will be too much work I guess (And my last two brain cells didn't want to commit suicide YET!).
I did something with lights and all but it looked horrible and some of the letters were tough for this scale. So, I ended up with this ugly-looking thing and moved on to find the next game.

theHunter: Call of the Wild?
Well, the next idea was to boot up my theHunter: Call of the Wild and see what I can do with that. I had something in mind too. The game has footprints which are very visible on some of the maps, especially over snow or mud. So I went on Medved Taiga which is the map with snow all over it.
I tried to make the alphabet with my foot marks but the game didn't allow me. It kept removing the much older prints so I couldn't get enough to make the whole thing, which was sad for me but good thinking by the devs they wanted to save every bit of memory.

Stardew Valley it is!
After these sorts of failed adventures, I looked at my game library and saw one which gave me an idea! My creative juices started to flow again. The game I am talking about is Stardew Valley!
I played it but just for a while before I got busy with so many other games. Anyway, the game takes you to an old farm which you inherited from your grandfather and it has a lot of things you can do from fishing, farming, building and much more. All I needed was the farming aspects of it!
The first thing was to clear up some chunk of land! The game has this energy mechanism, which will not let you do a lot of chopping of trees in a single day so it took a couple of days to clear up enough space.
When I was satisfied with my canvas I started to plough the land. I didn't have many seeds to grow and fill up the entire thing and if you leave the tilled ground it gets converted to normal dirt after a day or two.
I needed some more seeds and fortunately, I had some cash with me too. I went straight to Pierre but his stores remains closed on Wednesday. Why Pierre? WHY?
Anyway, I spent the whole day planting and watering the seeds that I already had with me. The next I bought more seeds, some of them were flowers but all of them were for the current spring season. And some seeds can only grow in specific seasons and they will get destroyed if the season changes.
And guess what? After ploughing the ground, planting all the seeds one by one, getting stuck on some weird letter like "N" and "R" for much longer than I expected, watering every piece of land one by one with the sh*tiest and low capacity watering can, and doing all this for two straight days (the lowest time for the maturity of my crops were 4 days), the season changed and all of them were wasted! Hours of hard work produced some dead crops at the end. Oh, how beautiful is life! xD
So, yeah... the best I could do with this was some dead crops that make the words "Happy New Year". I hope your gaming endeavours turn out to be much better than mine. I don't hate the outcome but it would be lovely to see some flowers...no?
I think these examples are more than enough to tell how creative this contest can get. I hope you enjoyed these misadventures of mine! And once again Happy New Year!
Let me nominate my three gamer friends to join this contest! Contest Announcement Post
EDIT: OH NO!!! I posted it in the wrong community. Now this is what you call a misadventure. What a perfect start to the year!
Thanks for reading...
