Hello and welcome back to my blog!

I'm not very active on the Luanti (formerly Minetest) server these days. However, I've been keeping an eye on our building project, the Treehouse. We had been living in a dirt hole and spent time mining and collecting resources to secure our land with a large wall. After we were satisfied with our wall design, we moved on to the next project, the Treehouse. I shouldn't say "we" because I hardly helped with this project. Maybe I placed a few blocks here and there or collected some resources, but the rest of the work was done by @bemier over multiple days.
I'm just here to showcase it and tell you about my favorite parts of the building.
It looks really good at night. All those hanging lanterns make it stand out in the dark. Its base is very broad, making it prominent in our area. To make it stand out even more, we decided to build it on a small hill.
We're planning to make a couple of ponds on each side too, which I think would make it even better.
There are so many small things that give it a nice touch. One of these are the mushrooms made out of brick blocks and red wool.
On one side is a balcony with a table and chair to sit in and enjoy the view. You can actually sit on chairs in this game, unlike the original Minecraft without mods.

While on the other side, there's a swing that offers an even better view of the village.
There's an interesting chimney design using red bricks and wall blocks. Inside the top, a burning fireplace allows smoke to come out, giving the impression of a real chimney. That's a very creative idea!
Those were the exterior views; now let's talk about the interior. A small spiral staircase takes us to both levels. The first level is where the balcony and swings are, and on the top is where we have everything we need, from storage to a library and a cooking spot.
The library section is very neatly arranged with an enchanting setup so we can enchant our tools and armor from the comfort of our house.
The way she had to place protection blocks and hide them inside the structure also took some thinking. But to protect everything well, some compromises were made. It's better to be secure than look great... right?
We have plenty of barrels for storage, but we still need to transport our stuff to this place. You could say that we haven't fully moved in yet. We have to make some decisions on what to take from our storeroom and put here. We have too much stuff and too little space to place and organize it neatly.
She did an amazing job with just a few basic blocks. This game doesn't have the best visuals, and even the visual mods are quite bad. So, to make it look pretty, and this compact in survival mode takes a lot of effort and planning. No wonder she sleeps like a dead horse after all this hard work, lol.
Our next project will be a small lake just outside the house. Work on it has already begun. We're trying to make it look as natural as we can. Don't want it to be a rainbow, lol. Let's see how it turns out.
