➤ If there is a game that definitely got me addicted after so long is Project Zomboid, and when I tell you that I'm completely addicted it's not at all a joke, I don't see the sunlight anymore, I don't know my friends anymore, I don't know who I am anymore, @therealflaws hates me because I only play Project Zomboid and I don't go with him, this game is ruining my life but it's inevitable because it really is an amazing survival game from head to toe, tied to realism, tension and true control of life, the true balance between learning to appreciate the life of our character and taking risks, if we want to play crazy, Project Zomboid is not the place.
➤ At the beginning everything started in a cooperative adventure with friends thinking that I would like the game alone this way, playing accompanied, but the more you start to play, to learn, because it is certainly a game that requires time to learn everything you need to survive everything that comes our way, from zombies, diseases, weather, ailments, injuries, and even make mistakes like being away from home when the helicopter arrives to prowl the city and see how a giant horde of zombies attacks us. The difficulty of how to get resources and especially knowing where to get them, knowing how to move between each city infested with zombies and even be careful with cars because you never know when a tragedy can happen. The point is that I started playing alone and between so much content, an absolute vice is inevitable and I realized that you can fully enjoy solo as well as in cooperative.
➤ I've gone on to have halfway decent games, where I've survived long enough or gained knowledge to make my next games better, because yes, I inevitably die. I still miss my game in Riverside, where I was full of cars, lots of loot, had almost everything I needed to survive, until I died once, then again, and the third time was the final one and that's why I say you have to be careful with cars. Driving I crashed, my car overturned, I was being chased by a thousand zombies, and.... I died. I had survived a humble 14 days, it was my longest game at the start.
➤ And that's where it all started, after that fucking game, because once we died, we were left wanting more. Although Project Zomboid has a fairly large amount of content, everything really improves when we start using mods, as there are mods that add an absurd amount of content and quite good content and especially many focused on realism, it is difficult to talk about each of them because there are too many but they really improve the gameplay a lot. And how extensive your game can be, even making it harder than it already is. And if they want to further increase the difficulty, time hours and everything possible, why not play co-op and end up in situations like these? After one of my friends has taken an axe to my back and broken a thousand bones, leaving me bleeding, depressed and in inexplicable pain.
➤ When I tell you that it is a definitive vice, it is because it really is, it is like a cycle, once you die, you accept the anger, frustration and despair of having lost a game of many days, you are left wanting more and to continue testing your skills, it is a fucking vicious cycle that has cost me to have today almost 160 hours in this game in a matter of a month. A complete vice. And believe me it is a difficult game, challenging and that each game will always be different from the previous one, both in how we advance, and especially in HOW WE DIE. Because there are thousands of ways to die in this game.
➤ With all this I would like to be able to consider myself a skilled player who knows a lot about the game, someone almost an expert, but I can't even survive more than a fucking month and a half. That's how hard this shit is. My longest game was a month and 10 days, I had everything, an incredible loot, an incredible house, and when I died, I felt nothing but depression.... And the worst thing is the way I died, in that game I killed 1400 zombies, giant hordes, and I died by a group of 4 fucking zombies, believe me that here it doesn't matter how many there are, even a single zombie can kill you, it was all because they bit me 2 meters away, my character was wounded without being able to move, they cornered me, and I died. That game was incredible, I had almost all of Rosewood looted, I had axes, weapons, everything you could imagine, and in my search for a generator to have electricity, I found it was death.
➤ After this disappointment I started several new games where it didn't take long to die, and then where it didn't take long to feel that I needed more difficulty, and that's a good thing about Project Zomboid, the default difficulty is nowhere near the maximum, we can modify our world to the most difficult of everything, changing from the population of zombies, their intelligence, their ability to track us and look for us, their strength, we can change the appearance of food, supplies, weapons, resources and also create a more difficult climate, a more difficult environment, advance our game by months and see how the forest and nature consume the cities, and certainly make everything more post apocalyptic, difficult, and forcing us to break our backs for every resource, and that's what I started to do. There came a point where it was almost impossible to live in cities because of the amount of zombies that there were, so I decided to live in the forest and build my house, that game was great and everything progressed incredibly and I had survived hordes of incredible zombies, moments full of tension and where I almost saw my death.

➤ And even though I managed to survive more than 15 days, my skills over time improved too much and I feel like a more than experienced player, a player that if you put me on default difficulty I could easily survive at least 5 months, despite that, I STILL DIED, SO NO, BELIEVE ME NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU FEEL, you're still going to die. Project Zomboid does everything it can to make that happen. Both solo and co-op, even playing with new friends where we've had some great games, it's not all pretty because we die again.
➤ I'm currently in a new game with a friend that so far is going amazing, we've only died about 10 times, no lie. But I died once and he died once but because of the lag, our maximum deaths are two, if we die twice we just start a new world, and in fact that is a habit that I also apply in solo, every time I die, I start a new game, and so everything is much more dynamic.
➤ No doubt after these and many more experiences, things that are so many at once that for me it is impossible to describe them, I feel it would be impossible to make a review of Project Zomboid where we really detail everything because it has so many things that is simply amazing, and for me, makes it in my top1 survival games and certainly among my list of favorite games, I can not even imagine the amount of content to be updated in this game and how brutal it can be. ➤ Al inicio todo comenzó en una aventura cooperativa con amigos pensando que el juego solo me gustaría de esta forma, jugando acompañado, pero conforme más comienzas a jugar, a aprender, porque sin duda es un juego que requiere tiempo para poder aprender todo lo necesario para sobrevivir a todo lo que se nos viene, desde los zombies, enfermedades, el clima, malestares, heridas, y hasta cometer errores como estar fuera de casa cuando llega el helicoptero a merodear la ciudad y ver como una horda gigante de zombies arremata contra nosotros. La dificultad de como conseguir recursos y sobre todo saber donde conseguirlos, saber bien como movernos entre cada ciudad infestada de zombies e incluso tener cuidado con los autos porque nunca se sabe cuando puede pasar una tragedia. El punto es que comencé a jugar solo y entre tanto contenido, un vicio absoluto es inevitable y me di cuenta que se puede disfrutar completamente en solitario tanto como en cooperativo.
➤ He llegado a tener partidas medianamente decentes, donde he sobrevivido lo suficiente o adquiriendo conocimiento para hacer que mis próximas partidas sean mejores, porque sí, inevitablemente muero. Aún extraño mi partida en Riverside, donde estaba lleno de autos, mucho loot, tenía casi que todo lo necesario para sobrevivir, hasta que morí una vez, luego otra vez, y la tercera fue la definitiva y por eso digo que hay que tener cuidado con los autos. Manejando me choqué, mi auto volcó, me perseguían mil zombies, y... morí. Había sobrevivido unos humildes 14 días, fue mi partida más larga al inicio.
➤ Y allí fue donde comenzó todo, después de esa jodida partida, porque una vez que morimos, quedamos con ganas de más. A pesar de que Project Zomboid tiene una cantida de contenido bastante grande, realmente todo mejora cuando comenzamos a utilizar mods, ya que hay mods que añaden una cantidad de contenido absurda y contenido bastante bueno y sobre todo muchos enfocados al realismo, es difícil hablar sobre cada uno de ellos porque son demasiados pero realmente mejoran mucho la jugabilidad. Y lo extenso que puede ser tu juego, incluso haciéndolo más difícil de lo que ya es. Y si quieren aumentar aún más la dificultad, el tiempo de horas y todo lo posible, ¿por qué no jugar en cooperativo y terminar en situaciones como estas? Luego de que uno de mis amigos me haya dado un hachazo en la espalda y me haya roto mil huesos, dejandome hemorragia, depresión y un dolor inexplicable.
➤ Cuando les digo que es un vicio definitivo, es porque realmente lo es, es como un ciclo, una vez que mueres, aceptas la rabia, la frustración y el desespero de haber perdido una partida de muchos días, quedas con ganas de más y de seguir probando tus habilidades, es un puto ciclo vicioso que me ha costado tener a día de hoy prácticamente 160 horas en este juego en cuestión de un mes. Un vicio completo. Y creanme que es un juego difícil, retador y que cada partida siempre será distinta a la anterior, tanto en como avanzamos, y sobre todo en COMO MORIMOS. Porque miles de formas de morir hay en este juego.
➤ Con todo esto me gustaría poder considerarme un jugador habil y que conoce bastante del juego, alguien casi que experto, pero ni siquiera logro sobrevivir más de un jodido mes y medio. Así de difícil es esta mierda. Mi partida más larga fue de un mes y 10 días, tenía de todo, un loot increíble, una casa increíble, y cuando morí, no sentí más que depresión... Y lo peor es la forma en que morí, en esa partida maté 1400 zombies, hordas gigantes, y morí por un grupo de 4 malditos zombies, creanme que aquí no importa cuantos sean, hasta un solo zombie puede matarte, todo fue por culpa de que me mordieron a 2 metros, mi personaje quedo herido sin poder moverse, me acorralaron, y morí. Esa partida era increíble, tenía casi toda Rosewood looteada, tenía hachas, armas, todo lo que se podía imaginar, y en mi busqueda de un generador para tener electricidad, encontré fue la muerte.
➤ Después de esta decepción inicié varias partidas nuevas donde no tardé en morir, y luego en donde no tardé en sentir que necesitaba más dificultad, y eso es algo bueno de Project Zomboid, la dificultad default no está ni de cerca de ser la máxima, podemos modificar nuestro mundo hasta lo más difícil de todo, cambiando desde la población de zombies, su inteligencia, su capacidad de rastrearnos y buscarnos, su fuerza, podemos cambiar la aparición de comida, suministros, armas, recursos y también crear un clima más difícil, un ambiente más difícil, adelantar nuestra partida por meses y ver como el bosque y la naturaleza consumen las ciudades, y sin duda hacer todo más post apocaliptico, difícil, y obligandonos a partirnos el lomo por cada recurso, y eso comencé a hacer. Llegó un punto donde era casi que imposible vivir en ciudades de la cantidad de zombies que había, así que decidí vivir en el bosque y construir mi casa, esa partida fue genial y todo avanzaba increíble y había sobrevivido a hordas de zombies increíbles, momentos llenos de tensión y donde casi vi mi muerte.

➤ Y a pesar de que logré sobrevivir más de 15 días, mis habilidades con el tiempo mejoraron demasiado y me siento un jugador más que experimentado, un jugador que si me ponen en la dificultad default fácilmente podría sobrevivir al menos 5 meses, a pesar de eso, IGUAL ME MORÍ, ASÍ QUE NO, CREANME QUE POR MÁS BUENOS QUE SE SIENTAN, igual van a morir. Project Zomboid hace todo lo posible para que eso pase. Tanto en solitario como en cooperativo, incluso jugando con nuevos amigos donde hemos tenido partidas geniales, no todo es tan lindo porque morimos otra vez.
➤ Actualmente estoy en una nueva partida con un amigo que hasta ahora va increíble, solo hemos muerto unas 10 veces, no mentira. Pero yo morí una vez y él murió una vez pero por culpa del lag, nuestro máximo de muerte son dos, si llegamos a morir dos veces simplemente iniciamos un nuevo mundo, y de hecho esa es una costumbre que también aplico en solitario, cada vez que muero, inicio una nueva partida, y así todo es mucho más dinámico.
➤ Sin duda después de estas y muchas más experiencias, cosas que son tantas a la vez que para mí es imposible describirlas, siento que sería imposible hacer una review de Project Zomboid donde realmente detallemos todo porque tiene tantas cosas que es simplemente alucinante, y para mí, lo vuelve en mi top1 juegos de survival y sin duda entre en mi lista de juegos favoritos, no me imagino aún la cantidad de contenido que actualizarán en este juego y lo brutal que puede llegar a ser.
