My progress so far:
Following Apollo's plan to investigate the Sentinels, I raided a Korvax facility on planet Kirt XVI in Amurobeo XIX system. Breaking into the facility caused the Sentinels swarm around the building because Korvax entities worship the lord of the Sentinels, Atlas as deity. The terminal inside had no useful information about the Sentinels. I ran out of the building and fled. Meanwhile, Apollo collected and analyzed the signals from the Sentinel swarm and found out monoliths were related to their instantaneous appearance via some kind of teleport. I'm going to investigate those monoliths. (log #13)
I checked out 3 monoliths in Amurobeo XIX system. Two of them was on planet Kirt XVI and one on planet Smakewe Ujin. Each monolith gave me partial glyphs needed to open the portal to another realm, with a vision which showed me the First Traveler's journey and encounter with the omnipotent being, Atlas. After obtaining complete set of glyphs, I detected the fourth energy source on planet Kirt XVI. This must be the portal. (log #14)
I reached the portal on planet Kirt XVI, and activate it using the glyphs previously obtained from monoliths. The portal teleported me to a strange new planet with yellow sky. Then reality faded, and I was in front of a huge black sphere with crimson hue in a dark hall. It was Atlas. Interacting with Atlas indicated that the galaxy itself is a simulation which had been running for countless millennia, and serious errors are occurring within. I was sent back to the planet and found my starship. I picked up an incoming transmission signal, which could be from Artemis. I'm checking out the signal source. (log #15)
I repaired my starship's lauch thruster and flew toward the signal source. I arrived at the location after a brief, uneventful flight. Walking toward the source, I saw a white glowing object. That must be it.
It was Artemis' grave. She's dead. The grave produced a hologram image of Artemis. The hologram spoke a few words to me, but they were mixed with noises. I couldn't grasp what she was trying to say exactly. Maybe I was too late, or maybe she died long before I woke up, I don't know. Now only the remnant of her consciousness remains here.
I flew to a Holo-Terminus(long-range communication tower) nearby to contact Apollo.
The terminal had no signal matches for Apollo or Artemis, so I activated the tower with manual override.
Hologram of a strange-looking entity appeared. It was called Null. Null looked like a humanoid form from a distance, but when I got close it looked weird.
It was a set of robotic components rather than a life-form. Head was a floating light bulb and arms were bundled wires.
Null told me that I can revive Artemis by making a device called "Mind Arc." I accepted to craft it. Null gave me blueprint for Mind Arc, and "Soul Engine" which is a component required for Mind Arc. Null said it would reactivate Artemis' signal and disconnected with me.
Hologram of Artemis appeared, but it couldn't communicate with me. Maybe that Mind Arc is needed to save her.
I flew out of the planet and summoned the Space Anomaly station, to ask Nada and Polo about Null.
According to them, Null is older than them and has freedom to do whatever it wishes to do, which means that Null is a Traveler like me but very old. Null must be the First Traveler.
Anyway, I decided to go ahead with Null's advice. I warped to nearby Tosaikin XII system to mine cadmium required to craft Soul Engine.
When I warped out to Tosaikin XII system, I picked up a distress signal. It was from an alien settlement in another star system called Onbets-Arg.
Now that Artemis is already dead, I don't need to hurry. I'm going to investigate the distress signal and then search for cadmium.
