Today I got nostalgic for Crash Bandicoot, one of my favorite sagas from my childhood, so I decided to make a guide of the third game and publish it in parts in this community. Since it could not be otherwise, in today's part I will tell you some tips to complete the first level of World 1.
This medieval-themed level is where our adventure begins. The first enemies don't pose much of a threat, so move forward slowly and make sure you break every single crate you come across (except for the TNT or NITRO ones, obviously lol).
Soon you will reach some elastic boxes, so jump between them to acquire all the fruit. Use your tornado attack on the relatively harmless goats (don't try to ride them please!). There's an Aku Aku box shortly after you start the level that gives you one hit protection, so enemies won't be able to kill you on the first hit. Shame on you if they do it at this level, although there are accidents that cannot be foreseen!
The crystal you need is at the middle of the level, so don't forget to run over it. There are some frogs and a couple of swordsmen nearby; the amphibians change their movement pattern without warning. Jump over them or swerve around them. If they catch you, be prepared to get a passionate kiss that will cost you a life lol. To kill the swordsmen, wait for them to raise their swords from the ground and swing them: when they put their weapons back on the ground, you can attack them with the tornado move without risk.
Next is the bonus level (a huge platform with a question mark on it). Jump on it and it will take you to a secret place full of boxes and bonus fruit. At the bottom of the screen, it's shown the amount of boxes that are in this area, so make sure you break them all before you leave on the platform.
Towards the end of the level, a translucent box will appear if you didn't break all the boxes; if you got them all, then the box will turn into a white jewel. If so, good job.
