When a fellow player described the game - Golem Overlord in a discord chat, I was interested in knowing more about it but it was for others in our country group. I thought the young people who missed out on splinterlands would get a chance to start early and invited him over to explain about it. He gave the links and described briefly but I was not sure about investing 20 swap hive at one shot and the mention of attacks and raids made me remember Drug Wars - a game that literally took all of our investments and one day - poof. There was nothing left. So, I kept away.
Yesterday, I read a chat by another player or splinterlands discord describing GO with such enthusiasm that I decided to check it out and this time, I was tempted to invest the twenty swap hive, and yea why not? I thought. I won't lose much. So, after purchasing the Staff, I went over to india united and asked about how to play and @catharsis was kind enough to explain each and every thing related to the game and also helped me by taking screenshots and what to do, etc that I followed and I am glad I did.
I took a few screenshots and a day later, I am thankful that I invested in the game.
To be honest, this is a game that gives good returns and promises great stuff yet to come, and with a developer who is always working behind it and trying to chat with users as well, my trust has increased.
So, here goes. If you have not yet signed up, please do before the price of the Staff increases. The staff is like the spell book of Splinterlands and yea, you do not need to sweat over always being online. This is a strategy game that does not require full-time attention.

After you sign up, you will see a screen like this
At the start, you will have seven battles as shown in the right. Please do not go and attack everyone left and right like I did. 😂
You should first buy some Part tokens on hive engine. It will automatically appear on the game screen. Power up the Fort and Power using these part tokens. The number required will be indicated on the right.
You should then proceed to understand how the battle works. You can claim the Part generated once every eight hours. Meanwhile, make sure to claim the Part you have accumulated or raided immediately otherwise, you could be raided too. This is why, you should fortify yourself first.
When you click battle on the bottom right of the page, you will be shown usernames and the stash that they have. When you click the first name, it will be written - too terrified because the user has got a great fort of course and you will lose if you attack and also you will lose your parts for repair.
So, always be careful not to attack a person who has power and fort above your numbers.
As you can see, the activities will be displayed on the left of the page. After you claim your PART, you can use it for upgrading or just sell it on hive engine. Many users just sell it on the dex to recover the investment but if you are wise enough, reinvesting can get you more returns. So, act wisely but I would suggest that you always study the game before taking any step.
