Well, it has been a curious and very nice trip, but we are approaching the end of the adventure. The last day we had a meeting with the children of voodoo, we met Alt, an AI who formerly had a relationship with Jhonny. Talking to Alt, we came to the conclusion that the only way is to infiltrate Mikoshi, to try to separate Jhonny's consciousness from our mind and save our lives.
I have no more missions, there are no more assignments or side quests, I only have the mission to meet with Hanako Arasaka and, something curious is that at the doors of the place where she is waiting for me, before entering I got a message to warn me that, from this point, there is no turning back. They recommend that we tie up all the ropes. This indicator gave me to understand that I was closer to the end of the story than I imagined. In my mind I thought I was halfway there haha.
But well, in order not to make this post too long since I have quite a few things to say, I will summarize the encounter with Hanako. Basically, Hanako will ask us to help her expose her brother in front of the entire Arasaka committee, revealing that he was the real killer of Saburo, her father and leader of the corporation.
We will tell Hanako that we need time to think about it and leave. However, while we are in the elevator we will faint because of the biochip in our brain, as it is hurting us more and more. At this point Jhonny will take the reins of our body and take us to Viktor's clinic.
We will wake up in the clinic and we will see how Viktor manages to stabilize us. Viktor will tell us that we have no time left, we must make a decision at once. He will also give us two pills, one that will boost Jhonny's consciousness and end ours and another one that will do the opposite, that is, keep Jhonny's consciousness at bay.
We will stand up and Misty, the girlfriend of our late partner, will ask us to accompany her to the roof. On the roof we will see a place to sit and rest, Misty will tell us that Jackie came here to think when she didn't know what to do, then she will go away and leave us alone to think.
At this point Jhonny will appear and we will have to make an important decision. We will have 3 options: Take the booster pills, which will put our consciousness in the background, allowing Jhonny to take control of our body and let him infiltrate Mikoshi. Take the blockers, override Jhonny's consciousness and follow Hanako's plan to expose her brother. Or, finally, take the blockers, override Jhonny's consciousness, but instead of trusting Hanako, call Panam and let us be the ones to infiltrate Mikoshi.
After giving it a lot of thought, I decided to block Jhonny and take care of the matter myself and Panam. Because for me, it made no sense to override our conscience and let Jhonny take care of it, because after all, this is our story, the story of V. When we make the decision Jhonny will smile and give us a pat on the shoulder, then we will see how he leaves.
With the decision made, I called Panam and explained the situation. Although she was surprised, she agreed to do it. She will ask us to wait for her, as she will pick us up and take us to her nomad camp. Apparently she and I will not be doing this alone, but her entire nomadic family will be helping us.
We will spend the night in the camp, we will be able to talk to the nomads and see how they are preparing for what will happen tomorrow. We will notice that, even though what we are about to do is dangerous, they are all willing to help us.
When we finish talking to the nomads, we will meet Panam on top of a hill to have a nice conversation. We will let her know how important she is to us and how grateful we are. At the end of this talk all that remains is to get up and start the infiltration. However, since everything that follows from this point on is quite important and above all extensive, I prefer to close this post here and leave the final chapter of this adventure for the next day. Bueno, ha sido un viaje curioso y muy bonito, pero nos estamos acercando al final de la aventura. El ultimo día tuvimos una reunión con los hijos del vudú, conocimos a Alt, una IA que antiguamente tuvo una relación con Jhonny. Al hablar con Alt, llegamos a la conclusión de que el único camino es infiltrarse en Mikoshi, para intentar separar la conciencia de Jhonny de nuestra mente y salvar nuestra vida.
No tengo más misiones, no hay más encargos ni secundarias, solo me queda la misión de reunirme con Hanako Arasaka y, algo curioso es que en las puertas del lugar donde está esperándome, antes de entrar salé un mensaje para advertirme de que, a partir de este punto, no hay vuelta atrás. Nos recomiendan que atemos todos los cabos. Este indicador me dio a entender de que estaba más cerca del final de la historia de lo que imaginaba. En mi mente pensaba que iría por la mitad jaja.
Pero bueno, para no alargar demasiado esta publicación ya que tengo bastantes cosas que decir, resumiré el encuentro con Hanako. Básicamente, Hanako nos pedirá que la ayudemos a exponer a su hermano frente a todo el comité de Arasaka, revelando que él fue el verdadero asesino de Saburo, su padre y líder de la corporación.
Le diremos a Hanako que necesitamos tiempo para pensarlo y nos marcharemos. Sin embargo, mientras estamos en el elevador nos desmayaremos por culpa del biochip en nuestro cerebro, ya que cada vez nos hace más daño. En este momento Jhonny tomará las riendas de nuestro cuerpo y nos llevará a la clínica de Viktor.
Despertaremos en la clínica y veremos como Viktor logra estabilizarnos. Viktor nos dirá que ya no nos queda tiempo, debemos tomar una decisión de una vez. También nos dará dos pastillas, una que potenciará la conciencia de Jhonny y acabará con la nuestra y otra que hará todo lo contrario, es decir, mantener a raya la conciencia de Jhonny.
Nos pondremos de pie y Misty, la novia de nuestro difunto compañero, nos pedirá que la acompañemos a la azotea. En la azotea veremos un lugar para sentarnos a descansar, Misty nos dirá que aquí Jackie venia a pensar cuando no sabia que hacer, luego se irá y nos dejará solos para que pensemos.
En este momento Jhonny aparecerá y tendremos que tomar una importante decisión. Tendremos 3 opciones: Tomar las pastillas potenciadoras, lo que hará que nuestra conciencia quede en segundo plano, permitiéndole a Jhonny tomar las riendas de nuestro cuerpo y que sea él quien se encargue de infiltrarse en Mikoshi. Tomar los bloqueadores, anular la conciencia de Jhonny y seguir el plan de Hanako para exponer a su hermano. O, por último, tomar los bloqueadores, anular la conciencia de Jhonny, pero en vez de confiar en Hanako, llamar a Panam y que seamos nosotros mismos quien se encargue de la infiltración en MIkoshi.
Luego de darle muchas vueltas, opté por bloquear a Jhonny y encargarme yo mismo junto a Panam del asunto. Porque para mí, no tenía sentido anular nuestra conciencia y dejar que Jhonny se encargue, porque despues de todo, esta es nuestra historia, la historia de V. Al tomar la decisión Jhonny sonreirá y nos dará una palmada en el hombro, luego veremos cómo se marcha.
Con la decisión tomada, llamé a Panam y le expliqué la situación. Aunque le sorprendió, aceptó hacerlo. Nos pedirá que la esperemos, ya que pasará a recogernos y llevarnos hasta su campamento nómada. Al parecer no haremos esto solos ella y yo, si no que toda su familia nómada nos ayudará.
Pasaremos la noche en el campamento, podremos hablar con los nómadas y ver como se están preparando para lo que ocurrirá el día de mañana. Notaremos que, a pesar de que lo que estamos por hacer es peligroso, todos ellos están dispuestos a ayudarnos.
Cuando terminemos de hablar con los nómadas, nos reuniremos con Panam en lo alto de una colina para tener una bonita conversación. Le haremos saber lo importante que es ella para nosotros y lo agradecidos que estamos. Al finalizar esta charla solo queda levantarnos y comenzar la infiltración. Sin embargo, dado que todo lo que sigue a partir de este punto es bastante importante y sobre todo extenso, prefiero cerrar esta publicación aquí y dejar el capítulo final de esta aventura para el próximo día. Pero antes de irme, quiero desearles a todos un feliz año nuevo. Que el 2025 este lleno de cosas buenas para todos en esta comunidad.
