After a long adventure, I'm finally in the final part of the game. To recap a bit: In the last chapter we found the holocron, that artifact that keeps the location of the force-sensitive children. However, in the middle of a battle against Trilla (the second sister) she snatched it from us and then escaped to the empire's fortress. So, as we cannot allow the empire to keep the artifact, we will go straight to their fortress to get it back.
The empire literally has a whole planet for its entire fortress. But clearly we will not be able to enter through the main gate, so we will decide to access it in an underwater way through one of the back doors.
Being an empire base, it will clearly be full of enemies. As soon as we enter, we will start to find Stormtroopers patrolling and, as we advance, they will appear in increasing numbers.
After advancing throughout the base, defeating multiple enemies and opening many doors, we will reach the room we saw in the previous chapter, where they tortured Trilla and tried to torture Cere.
While we are looking at the room, we will see how Trilla appears and attacks us. Here we will not talk, we will simply cross glances and the final battle will begin.
This fight was the only one, in the entire game, that really made me feel like I was playing on hard. I was so used to the enemies and even the bosses I've beaten not presenting a real challenge, that this caught me off guard, because this Thresh will be very different from all the previous times we've faced it. It will have attacks that make it immune, area attacks that we can only dodge with a specific move and several other things that make it a pretty decent final boss.
Finally, after dying several times, I was able to defeat it. At this point we will take the holocron from her. Then Cere will arrive and try to convince her that she doesn't have to stay on the dark side, she can redeem herself. However, in the middle of their conversation Trilla will feel a presence that will change her face completely, making her feel afraid.
That presence will be Darth Vader, who will slowly appear behind Trilla's back. He will tell her that she has failed him and then murder her with his lightsaber. Cal will try to confront Darth Vader about what has happened, but clearly it will be impossible to defeat him.
Here I want to take a moment to praise the incredible way in which this character was presented. Although I'm not much of a Star Wars fan, I understand that Darth Vader is one of the most powerful beings in this universe. And the way the game shows it to you seems perfect to me. He is so powerful that the only thing we can do is run away and even doing this, we will see how he uses his power to destroy the entire stage and attack us.
We will manage to escape from the room in an elevator and we will reach a corridor. However, just when we thought we had left him behind, he will appear again and ask us to hand over the holocron. With the power of the force he will use our own lightsaber to hurt us.
While we are on the ground, we will see how Cere arrives, who will use all his strength to try to subdue Darth Vader, to the point that, without wanting to, he will end up using the power of the dark side. Although he will only manage to put Darth Vader on his knees for a few seconds.
Then we will be cornered, Cere will try to protect us, but he will not be able to face Darth Vader, at this moment Cal will decide to break one of the windows of the corridor and, as we are in a subway base, we will see how everything is flooded. The flood will be our escape window, while Darth Vader is holding the needle we will take the opportunity to jump into the ocean. Although we will be so deep that Cal will begin to lose consciousness along with Cere. At that moment we will see a strange silhouette appear in the sea, which, by the color of her clothes, we can deduce that she is the sister of the night who came to help us.
Then we will wake up on the ship, wondering what happened and surrounded by our crew. Here the sister of the night will confirm that it was indeed she who saved us and the rest of the crew will tell us that we have succeeded.
Cal will activate the holocron and will see that, indeed, there is the list with the location of all the force-sensitive children, the future Jedi generation. However, Cal will make the decision not to search for them, and not only that, but he will destroy the holocron so that no one will know the location of these children. He will choose to leave everything 'in the hands of the force'. After destroying the holocron, the game will be over.
I must be honest, I didn't like the ending and it left me totally cold. I mean, literally our goal from the beginning has been to find these kids to restore the Jedi order and stand up to the empire, but right at the end you decide not to do it and leave it all to "the force". I understand that you do this to not "force" the children to fight against the empire and change their lives, but I still didn't like this ending, especially because the game also doesn't show us what is going to happen now, it simply ends with the crew saying "What now?"
But well, leaving aside the bittersweet ending, I really enjoyed this adventure in general. I understand why people speak so highly of this game and I reaffirm that you don't need to be a fan or a connoisseur of the saga to enjoy it. I really liked Cal as the main character and I'm genuinely interested to see what happens with him in the sequel to the game. Surely in the future I will play the sequel and share again my adventure here, although I will let a few months go by so I don't get saturated.

Luego de una larga aventura, por fin estoy en el tramo final del juego. Para recapitular un poco: En el ultimo capitulo encontramos el holocrón, ese artefacto que guarda la ubicación de los niños sensibles a la fuerza. Sin embargo, en mitad de una batalla contra Trilla (la segunda hermana) ella nos lo arrebató para luego escapar a la fortaleza del imperio. Así que, como no podemos permitir que el imperio se quede con el artefacto, iremos directamente hasta su fortaleza para recuperarlo.
El imperio tiene literalmente un planeta completo para toda su fortaleza. Pero claramente no podremos entrar por la puerta principal, por lo que decidiremos acceder de forma submarina por una de las puertas traseras.
Al ser una base del imperio, claramente estará llena de enemigos. Nada más entrar ya comenzaremos a encontrarnos con Stormtroopers patrullando y, conforme avancemos, cada vez aparecerán en mayores cantidades.
Luego de avanzar por toda la base, derrotar a múltiples enemigos y abrir muchas puertas, llegaremos a la sala que vimos en el capítulo anterior, donde torturaron a Trilla e intentaron torturar a Cere.
Mientras estamos mirando la sala, veremos como Trilla aparece y nos ataca. Aquí no hablaremos, simplemente cruzaremos miradas y comenzará la batalla final.
Este combate ha sido el único, en todo el juego, que realmente me ha hecho sentir que estoy jugando en difícil. Estaba tan acostumbrado a que los enemigos e incluso los jefes que he vencido, no representaran un reto real, que esto me agarró de imprevisto, porque esta Trilla será muy diferente a todas las veces anteriores que nos enfrentamos a ella. Tendrá ataques que la hagan inmune, ataques de área que solo podremos esquivar con un movimiento especifico y varias cosas más que la convierten en un jefe final bastante decente.
Finalmente, luego de morir varias veces, pude derrotarla. En este momento le arrebataremos el holocrón. Luego llegará Cere e intentará convencerla de que no tiene porque seguir en el lado oscuro, puede redimirse. Sin embargo, en mitad de su conversación Trilla sentirá una presencia que le cambiará la cara completamente, haciéndola sentir miedo.
Esa presencia será Darth Vader, quien aparecerá lentamente a espaldas de Trilla. Le dirá que le ha fallado y luego la asesinará con su sable de luz. Cal intentará enfrentarse a Darth Vader por lo que ha pasado, pero claramente será imposible vencerlo.
Aquí quiero tomarme un momento para alabar la forma tan increíble en la que presentaron a este personaje. Aunque yo no soy muy fanático de Star Wars, tengo entendido que Darth Vader es uno de los seres más poderosos de este universo. Y la forma en la que el juego te lo demuestra me parece perfecta. Es tan poderoso que lo único que podremos hacer es salir corriendo e incluso haciendo esto, veremos como usa su poder para destruir el escenario completo y atacarnos.
Lograremos escapar de la sala en un ascensor y llegaremos a un pasillo. Sin embargo, justo cuando pensábamos que lo habíamos dejado atrás, aparecerá nuevamente y nos pedirá que le entreguemos el holocrón. Con el poder de la fuerza usará nuestro propio sable de luz para herirnos.
Mientras estamos en el suelo, veremos como llega Cere, quien usará todas sus fuerzas para intentar someter a Darth Vader, al punto de que, sin quererlo, terminará usando el poder del lado oscuro. Aunque solo logrará poner a Darth Vader de rodilla por unos segundos.
Luego nos veremos acorralados, Cere intentará protegernos, pero no podrá hacerle frente a Darth Vader, en este momento Cal decidirá romper una de las ventanas del pasillo y, como estamos en una base subterránea, veremos cómo se inunda todo. La inundación será nuestra ventana de escape, mientras Darth Vader está reteniendo el aguja aprovecharemos para saltar al océano. Aunque estaremos tan profundo que Cal comenzará a perder el conocimiento junto a Cere. En ese momento veremos aparecer una extraña silueta en el mar, la cual, por el color de su ropa, podemos deducir que es la hermana de la noche que vino a ayudarnos.
Luego despertaremos en la nave, preguntándonos que ha ocurrido y rodeado de nuestra tripulación. Aquí la hermana de la noche nos confirmará que sí fue ella quien nos salvó y el resto de la tripulación nos dirá que lo hemos logrado.
Cal activará el holocron y verá que, efectivamente, está la lista con la ubicación de todos los niños sensibles a la fuerza, la futura generación Jedi. Sin embargo, Cal tomará la decisión de no buscarlos, y no solo eso, si no que destruirá el holocron para que nadie sepa la ubicación de estos niños. Elegirá dejar todo ‘a manos de la fuerza’. Luego de destruir el holocrón acabará el juego.
Debo ser honesto, el final no me gustó y me dejó totalmente frio. Es decir, literalmente nuestro objetivo desde el principio ha sido encontrar a estos niños para restaurar la orden Jedi y plantarle cara al imperio, pero justo al final decides no hacerlo y dejarlo todo a “manos de la fuerza”. Entiendo que lo haces para no “obligar” a los niños a luchar contra el imperio y cambiarles la vida, pero aun así no me agradó este final, sobre todo porque el juego tampoco nos muestra que va a pasar ahora, simplemente termina con la tripulación diciendo “¿Y ahora qué?”
Pero bueno, dejando de lado el final agridulce, disfruté mucho esta aventura en general. Entiendo el porque la gente habla tan bien de este juego y reafirmo que no necesitas ser fanático ni conocedor de la saga para disfrutarlo. Me gustó mucho Cal como personaje principal y estoy genuinamente interesado en saber que ocurre con él en la secuela del juego. Seguramente en un futuro me anime a jugar la secuela y compartir nuevamente mi aventura por acá, aunque dejaré pasar unos meses para no saturarme.
