The answer is simple: In my view, no.
Well, let's go. First of all, I'd like to say that I've never been a fan of the Diablo saga, even though I really liked the third game, it's not my favorite style.
Anyway, I played it because it was an extremely expected remaster. I was very disappointed to see that the only things changed were the added graphic and Portuguese voice acting.
I know this is a remaster and not a remake, don't throw rocks at me!
Mind you, there hasn't been any kind of change in mechanics, inventory, dialogs and a game from 20 years ago. And that's exactly what it looks like, an extremely old game, which has aged badly, has outdated mechanics and is being sold at full price for having an "updated" graphics.
Perhaps, if I had played the original longer, I might have had a totally different view because of the nostalgia. But, with a critical eye, as a game released in 2021, it's unacceptable to look like it was released and cost, in its cheaper version, $39,99.
Is it okay to buy if you are a fan and love diablo 2? Yes. After all, I also get carried away by nostalgia sometimes. But in that case, I prefer to wait for Diablo 4 which will probably come with new mechanics, characters, classes, improved graphics!
