Hi! & welcome to my first hivepost!
I've always had a fondness for video games, since I was a kid when I was first introduced to my family's Nintendo to then have my own PSP I've always played and it would be easier to point you the days when I have not done it, luckily since my high school days until well into college I had my group of friends just as fanatical about video games (and may introduce them to Hive in the future) but for a couple of years I have seen that there is a trend that I'm liking a lot, similar to what happened when cinema and television were still settling in the culture, the video game is seeing the birth of a caste of players who are much more specialized in assessing and analyzing this type of work, and that's why I created an account on Hive in the first place.
I had wanted to start my first blog for some time, I had seen some social networks like Medium or Ghost that are similar to Hive but what made me create an account over here is its relation with cryptocurrencies, that world has always attracted me since I started to see news about Bitcoin in 2015 and since then I follow very closely many cryptos and I have even been able to see closely some of the most important changes, of course Hive with its financial ecosystem brings the essence of cryptos to the blog space and I find that very interesting.
I should talk about my tastes in games, when I was young I was quite into first person shooters, you know, battlefield or medal of honor were a must after school but now I rotate more around a wide variety of games, moving stories or a fun gameplay system are enough to keep me entertained but I try to play all the genres I can find, right now I'm playing Valiant Hearts: The Great War and I'm finding it genius in every way, having a story that is complemented by real tapes of the stories of the soldiers who fought in those camps. these are the games that I want to make known in my blog and maybe more people will be encouraged to try it.
So far I'm only playing from my pc, but in my family home there are several consoles that I will surely be bringing, although I like what I have on pc because here is that many of the games that are fashionable and some more that are new to play are launched, pc usually tends to have greater accessibility than consoles to games like those made by independent developers as well as others that can only be obtained on pc and that derive a little from the classic genres that I've become accustomed to play. I can say that I have played with consoles for most of my life so I will probably at some point do a review of the games I have played there.
It seems a question with high rates of subjectivity because each player will have his own experience with the game but I think there are some points that we can define to qualify a game as a quality game, and we can start with its gameplay and ask ourselves these questions Are the mechanics that the game proposes well applied? How deep are these mechanics? are just some of the starting points with which I start to review the game in my head, I do this also separating what is my experience with the game from my objective opinion on whether it works (or not) what the game proposes, I've had a couple of guilty pleasures that today I see and I think they are pretty normal games.
It sounds a bit complex but I will try in my reviews to do this, separate my personal experience with the game to what really are the systems that the creators have for the game in question, it will be something interesting to see and I think challenging for me to carry out, I have seen that in Hive is quite normalized to do reviews so I think I will fit here perfectly, I have not yet read some of the rules of other communities in which I want to participate but I think in this I am pretty good, I hope to find you more often in my blog and take care well.
