Today at work during my lunch time, I found myself sitting at the cafeteria all alone because my work buddy had a lot on his to-do list as the project deadline approaches. So what that meant for him was he had to eat at his desk while working, unlike me, who had the time to head to the cafeteria to check the menu and see what that grumbling belly of mine could be fed.
As I ate my food little by little, I brought out my phone to keep my mind busy with some gaming reels or videos, and then I came across an advert for Clash of Clans with a kid playing the game on a giant screen, probably an extremely large tablet.
Instantly, it took me down memory lane on how I used to play Clash of Clans with my cousins way back when we were in high school. The competitiveness was intense, but more importantly, everybody bonded over a common game. It is funny how time flies. Being a nostalgic gamer with a love for reliving moments through gaming, I obviously downloaded the game on my device.
I tried to think hard if I could remember the email address I used back then when I was in high school, probably I would be able to log in to my old Clash of Clans account, but the attempts led to zero results. So I gave it no further thought, I have to go for the other alternative, start from scratch. It is good, I do not remember much about the progress on that old account, since I only played the game because of my cousins, then it would not be so hard to start again. Either way, it could be more fun learning about the game again to see if some things would jump-start my memory.
The brief intro was right on point. Not much procedure in the signing up, or did I even sign up? I remember opening up the game and going straight into the tutorial, where I was taught by the goblins who are there to steal my gold, my army of barbarians that currently numbers twenty, I know they are small, but it is just the starting stage, and my village is built gradually. It was nice to see that the game is still simple to play, but games like this require in-app purchases, which are not mandatory, but if you are obsessed with getting things done fast and right, then you might have to spend. Playing sure brought back memories, and if there is one memory in particular, it was when my cousins and I came back from school, and we didn't do our chores and even homework until late at night because we felt our guardians would not be back home early. But sadly, that was not the case, as this led to the seizure of our devices and more chores even on the weekends. All thanks to playing Clash of Clans. Oh my, once again, time moves fast. In conclusion, thanks Clash of Clans for keeping me busy at work during my free time, hopefully I will play more of you when I am on lunch breaks or my buddy is busy. See you in the next game. I am @southgamer. Try gaming and thank me later.
