Hey gamers, it's the weekend, and by now, you should know what that means. It means less office work and more time to rehabilitate with my games. Over the week, I unlocked a new chapter in legend mode in the game: The Ghost of Tsushima, called The Veil between Realms—Chapter 1. Although I wasn't able to play the new chapter during the week because of work, I finally had the chance to do so today.
What the chapter is about
The Veil between the Realms is about finding the mystical items filled with dark magic, and you get to destroy them with your sword by first possessing the power that allows you to do that. The mystical items are divided into three categories, namely:
- The Sun
- The Moon
- The Star
The power gained from the celestial items has been harnessed by the ritualist for evil purposes. Yeah, you heard me right, The Ritualist. If I am to take a wild guess, I would say the ritualist is the new agent of the Onibaba that has replaced the Iyos from the previous chapter. After defeating a total of six Iyos from the previous chapter, I didn't get to see them anymore, thereby making it easy for me to defeat the guard protecting the mystical items in the new chapter, since no Iyos to give them more strength.
And what about the Onibaba
Honestly, I don't know yet when I am going to have an encounter with the onibaba, but I suspect it might be at the end of the story. For now, all I know from playing a few chapters is that the Onibaba has to be an evil witch, whose voice pops in my head from time to time.
Conquering the Realm
In my last post about Tsushima, a Hive user congratulated me for unlocking the next chapter and reminded me at the same time that the next chapter will be tougher, given the fact that I encountered multiple failures in the previous chapter. Well, that is the thing, this new chapter wasn't difficult at all, or am I being too corky at the moment?
Let's just say the level of difficulty wasn't as intense as what I was expecting. My sneaky ghost moves were hardly detected as I took those guards out limb from limb. In my mind, I was thinking this has to be a trick or something, are they roping me in just to execute the ghost later in an ambush? But that wasn't the case; all I had to do was take out the guards protecting the items, then destroy those items.
Where was The Ritualist in all of this
Sadly, the ritualist was nowhere to be found; only their items were at strategic locations. Also, since this level has a second chapter that I am about to start, I suspect that is where we might find the ritualist. I don't know yet what they have installed, but I know with this game, it can only get bigger and more daring. As I move to the next chapter, be certain to get another post about the tale buried within, as the journey isn't over yet.
See you in the next chapter.
