Ninja Gaiden is a very cool NES game, a game where you are a ninja where you face many enemies increasingly difficult, it is a game well known for its fairly high difficulty, today I tried a game with very similar characteristics, where we control a ninja, we face monsters with a fairly high difficulty, with NES graphics and 2D platform genre, I'm talking about Cyber Shadow.
Ninja Gaiden es un juego de la NES muy genial, un juego en el que eres un ninja donde te enfrentas a muchos enemigos cada vez más difíciles, es un juego muy conocido por su dificultad bastante alta, hoy he probado un juego con características muy similares, donde controlamos a un ninja, nos enfrentamos a monstruos con una dificultad bastante elevada, con gráficos de la NES y del genero plataformas en 2D, estoy hablando de Cyber Shadow.
The game starts with a cinematic showing a small robot approaching a recovery chamber, where apparently we are inside, the robot interacts with the camera to get us out of there, instantly the ninja has memories of what happened in the past, in that memory we see this ninja with a medallion and a katana, the reason why he is in the recovery chamber is due to an explosion.
El juego comienza con una cinemática mostrándo un pequeño robot acercándose a una cámara de recuperación, donde al parecer estamos dentro, el robot interactúa con la cámara para sacarnos de ahí, instantáneamente el ninja tiene recuerdos de lo sucedido en el pasado, en ese recuerdo vemos a este ninja con un medallón y una katana, la razón por la que está en la cámara de recuperación se debe a una explosión.
Apenas salí y empezamos a avanzar, el robot nos va contando que no tenemos mucho tiempo, y que seguramente el despertar de Shadow alertó al Dr. Progen, quien parece ser el villano de esta historia, encontré unas cajas que al destruirlas sueltan lo que parece ser una moneda, aún no tengo claro para que servirán, pero algo me dice que servirá para desbloquear nuevas habilidades, por ahora las mecánicas son básicas, te mueves y atacas, solo eso.
As soon as I got out and we started to advance, the robot tells us that we do not have much time, and that surely the awakening of Shadow alerted Dr. Progen, who seems to be the villain of this story, I found some boxes that when destroyed release what seems to be a coin, I still do not have clear what they will serve, but something tells me that will serve to unlock new skills, for now the mechanics are basic, you move and attack, just that.
I continued advancing and pressed a button that opens a door, then another door took me to a menu where it shows a map, this map shows me the levels, it is here when I get to the first chapter and where I face the first danger and where the soundtrack comes into action (which by the way is wonderful), I realized that there are checkpoints distributed in various parts of the stage, the first one I found near the beginning of the chapter, so far the enemies are not being difficult, I do not have much trouble killing them, something tells me that it will be hell later.
Seguí avanzando y accioné un botón que abre una puerta, luego otra puerta me llevó a un menú donde muestra un mapa, este mapa me muestra los niveles, es acá cuando llego al primer capítulo y donde enfrento el primer peligro y donde su banda sonora entra en acción (que por cierto es maravillosa), me di cuenta que hay checkpoints distribuidos por varias partes del escenario, el primero lo encontré cerca del inicio del capítulo, por ahora los enemigos no están siendo difíciles, no me cuesta mucho trabajo acabar con ellos, algo me dice que va a ser un infierno más adelante.
Ya empecé a toparme con enemigos cada vez más poderosos, me encontré con uno que tiene diferentes maneras de atacar y aguanta muchos golpes, luego de avanzar un poco me encontré con L-gion, me reveló que Dr.Progen ha capturado a nuestro clan y que le está desviando sus poderes. Seguí avanzando y llegué a una zona en la que tengo que estar subiendo, pero se está notando el incremento de dificultad, ahora hay enemigos pegados a las paredes del fondo que me disparan y gases en el suelo que me hacen daño, pero ahí mismo conseguí una habilidad que al parecer aumenta el alcance del ataque, pero si recibo daño 3 veces, pierdo esa habilidad.
I started to encounter more and more powerful enemies, I found one that has different ways of attacking and withstands many blows, after advancing a little I met L-gion, he revealed that Dr.Progen has captured our clan and is siphoning his powers. I continued advancing and I got to an area where I have to be climbing, but the difficulty increase is being noticed, now there are enemies attached to the walls at the bottom that shoot at me and gases on the ground that hurt me, but right there I got an ability that apparently increases the attack range, but if I take damage 3 times, I lose that ability.
Luego de pasar por esa zona tan difícil llegué al boss, llamado Smasher, este boss parece una prensa hidráulica, tiene a los lados torretas que disparan muy seguido y es bastante difícil esquivar las balas, y en el medio tiene un pedazo de metal con el que te aplasta si estás ahí, y si eso no es suficiente, hay dos enemigos más que te estarán disparando y que si los matas vuelven a aparecer, luego de morir una vez y matar al boss, me dio una esfera, al abrir el menu de pause me di cuenta que podía ver algunas cosas como el medallón, la katana y un objeto raro con 3 agujeros, pero uno de esos agujeros tenía un objeto llameante, supongo que es la esfera que me dio el boss.
After passing through this difficult area I got to the boss, called Smasher, this boss looks like a hydraulic press, it has on the sides turrets that shoot very often and it is quite difficult to dodge the bullets, and in the middle it has a piece of metal that crushes you if you are there, and if that is not enough, there are two more enemies that will be shooting at you and if you kill them they reappear, after dying once and killing the boss, it gave me a sphere, when I opened the pause menu I realized that I could see some things like the medallion, the katana and a rare object with 3 holes, but one of those holes had a flaming object, I guess it's the sphere that the boss gave me.
Pensé que eso sería el final de ese nivel, pero no, aún faltaba, ahora con nuevos enemigos como unos bichos voladores y una caja que dispara un laser, en este punto morí muchas veces, porque tengo que estar brincando entre las plataformas, esquivando las trampas y esquivando o matando los enemigos también, necesitaba el ultra instinto para pasar eso.
I thought that would be the end of that level, but no, it was still missing, now with new enemies like some flying bugs and a box that shoots a laser, at this point I died many times, because I have to be jumping between the platforms, dodging the traps and dodging or killing the enemies too, I needed the ultra instinct to pass that.
Seguí avanzando y llegué a un lugar donde las plataformas se mueven, y tengo que calcular muy bien cuando saltar, mientras esquivo a los enemigos, luego de eso llegué a una habitación donde pensé que habría un boss, pero había una mujer, nada más al verla caí al suelo, al parecer solo era un recuerdo, el juego muestra una cinemática de lo que parece ser a Shadow llorando (creo), luego de eso me encontré a L-gion y me dijo que mi condición estaba muy mal, que tenía que estabilizarme (BRO ESTUVE PASANDO TODO ESTO YO SOLO).
I continued advancing and I arrived to a place where the platforms move, and I have to calculate very well when to jump, while I dodge the enemies, after that I arrived to a room where I thought there would be a boss, but there was a woman, when I saw her I fell to the floor, apparently it was just a memory, the game shows a cinematic of what seems to be Shadow crying (I think), after that I encountered L-gion and he told me that my condition was very bad, that I had to stabilize myself (BRO I WAS GOING THROUGH ALL THIS BY MYSELF).
Llegué a otro boss, este si era más humanoide, él lanzaba unas shurikens y luego hacía un dash, para ser sincero no era muy difícil, lo pude mandar al lobby sin mucho esfuerzo GIT GUD SON, luego de matarlo pude liberar a quien creo que es un miembro de mi clan, este dice que no me puede ayudar mucho pero que si podemos usar su poder, con su poder desbloqueo una nueva habilidad, un ataque a distancia, este consume SP, y eso es todo por hoy, acá les dejaré el gameplay sin comentar!
