Hi dudes, how you doin'?, I've been posting more spaced out for... reasons, and the truth is that I don't like to be absent so much, so today I wanted to tell you about an experience I had recently, and that made me realize something that, although it may seem logical to some, for others, and I include myself in the second group, isn't so obvious at first glance.

The whole topic is related to the very powerful PC Master Race, but it could be applied to console peripherals as well, since not all controllers are the same nor have the same quality, but it's not the point I want to focus on, I'll tell you.

A few days ago I was testing a game which I plan to talk about later, and in that moment, I feel that my mouse stops reacting out of nowhere, the camera was completely frozen in place no matter how much I moved the mouse, and my brain for some reason took 10 seconds to realize that "something wasn't right", the answer is that I had run out of battery and I didn't have a replacement, I use rechargeable batteries so I took out the mouse battery and the replacement (which I hadn't put to recharge either) and put them in the charger, meanwhile I wasn't going to sit idle, so I dusted off my previous mouse, an HP mouse remarkably [Made in China] which initially had nothing wrong with it, but which I decided to replace with the Logitech I have now when I had the chance, and now that I had to go back to the HP, I can't help but feel every second more and more appreciation for my mouse [the Logitech one].

This post has many nuances, because I consider that when assembling a PC, the least important thing, the last link in priorities, and what you should neglect the most if you are short of budget, are the peripherals, keyboard, mouse, and even the headphones, because they are things that you can upgrade more easily later.

Back to my brief experience back to the HP mouse, I tried to play a couple of shooters to verify the sensitivity and DPI, and the truth was that my hand was tied with chains, the aiming was very slow, and simply didn't feel the same, I just returned to the Logitech, it was like removing a weight of 2 tons from my wrist, the mouse moved better on my mousepad in addition to having more DPI, so I need to make smaller movements for longer distances, which is very useful in shooters, it's not recommended to use such high values because it's counterproductive and makes it difficult to aim, but I think the real difference is made by the sensor, a sensor that is obviously of higher quality and will detect your movements in an infinitely better way.

Before this happened to me, I was using the Logitech mouse thinking that I really didn't feel much difference, beyond being able to configure DPS and macros, apart from obviously having two more buttons that come in handy to do some things faster, for example, in Fortnite I have the top side button to automatically select space #4, and the bottom one for space #5, where I usually carry the shotgun or a close range weapon, which by the way, I tried to play Fortnite with the HP mouse, and as soon as I saw myself face to face with another player I tried to take out the shotgun by pressing the side button, no need for me to explain how that ended haha.

After all this, I realized that, in general, you don't know how much a specific peripheral helps you, until you get used to something better and you must return to what you had before, I think in the case of the mouse is the most noticeable because with the keyboard the biggest difference is that now I have little lights, jokes aside, the response of the keys is faster, but I haven't changed to a cheaper keyboard to notice the difference.

Although the point is that, for obviousness, a more expensive peripheral is going to be, in general, better than a cheaper one, I'm not saying that this is all that matters, personally, I consider that I'm not exploiting more than 50% of my peripherals, and that if I played against someone with more skill but worse peripherals I would still lose, because skill is what really decides in the end, unless we were to go to the competitive part, where obviously everyone aims to have the fastest response speed possible, and between two people of the same level, peripherals can make the difference.

My recommendation is still that if you are building a pc and you have a limited budget, go 100% for the main components, a cardboard keyboard and mouse are enough to play, and then you can upgrade them if you want, but even with everything I don't consider that peripherals are a priority unless you want to dedicate yourself to the competitive, then you need a minimum base.

For context, my keyboard is a Redragon Kumara K552, and the mouse is a Logitech G305, so far my experience with both has been impeccable and I strongly recommend them if you are looking for quality peripherals and not so expensive, there are cheaper and more expensive, it also depends on your country, but so far I don't regret my choice.

Buenas muchachos, ¿cómo la llevan?, he estado publicando de forma más espaciada por, razones, y la verdad es que no me agrada ausentarme tanto así que hoy quería comentarles de una experiencia que tuve hace poco, y que me hizo darme cuenta de algo que, aunque puede parecer lógico para algunos, para otros, y me incluyo en el segundo, grupo, no es tan obvio a primera vista.

Todo el tema es relacionado a la poderosísima PC Master Race, pero podrían aplicarlo a periféricos de consolas también, ya que no todos los controles son iguales ni tienen la misma calidad, pero no es el punto en el cual me quiero enfocar, les cuento.

Hace unos días estaba probando un juego del cual planeo hablar luego, y en eso, siento que mi mouse deja de reaccionar de la nada, la cámara se había quedado completamente congelada en su sitio por mucho que moviera el mouse, y mi cerebro por alguna razón tardó 10 segundos en caer en cuenta de que “algo no estaba bien”, la respuesta es que se me había acabado la batería y no tenía un reemplazo, utilizo baterías recargables así que saqué la batería del mouse y el reemplazo (que tampoco había puesto a recargar) y las coloqué en el cargador, mientras tanto no iba a quedarme de brazos cruzados, así que desempolvé mi anterior mouse, un mouse HP notablemente [Made in China] que en un principio no tenía nada de malo, pero que decidí reemplazar por el Logitech que tengo ahora cuando tuve la oportunidad, y ahora que tuve que volver al HP, no puedo evitar sentir cada segundo más y más aprecio por mi mouse [Logitech, el otro no].

Este post tiene muchos matices, porque considero que a la hora de ensamblar un PC, lo menos importante, el último eslabón en prioridades, y lo que más deberías descuidar si vas corto de presupuesto, son los periféricos, teclado, mouse, e incluso los audífonos, pues son cosas que puedes actualizar más fácilmente después.

Volviendo a mi breve experiencia de vuelta al mouse HP, intenté jugar a un par de shooters para verificar la sensibilidad y los DPI, y la verdad sentía que mi mano estaba atada con cadenas, el apuntado era lentísimo, y sencillamente no se sentía igual, apenas volví al Logitech, fue como quitarme una pesa de 2 toneladas de la muñeca, el mouse se desplazaba mejor sobre mi mousepad además de tener más DPI, por lo que necesito hacer movimientos más pequeños para distancias mayores, cosa muy útil en shooters, tampoco es recomendable utilizar valores tan altos pues es contraproducente y dificulta apuntar, pero creo que la verdadera diferencia la hace el sensor, un sensor que obviamente es de una mayor calidad y va a detectar de una forma infinitamente mejor tus movimientos.

Antes de que me pasara esto, yo utilizaba el mouse Logitech pensando en que realmente no sentía mucha diferencia, más allá de poder configurar los DPS y macros, aparte de obviamente tener dos botones más que vienen muy bien para hacer algunas cosas más rápido, por ejemplo, en el Fortnite tengo el botón lateral de arriba para seleccionar automáticamente el espacio #4, y el de abajo para el espacio #5, donde generalmente llevo la escopeta o un arma de corto alcance, que por cierto, intenté jugar Fortnite con el mouse HP, y apenas me vi cara a cara con otro jugador intenté sacar la escopeta presionando el botón lateral, no hace falta que explique cómo terminó eso haha.

Luego de todo esto, me di cuenta que, en general, no sabes lo mucho que te ayuda un periférico en específico, hasta que te acostumbras a algo mejor y debes regresar a lo que tenías antes, creo que en el caso del mouse es lo más notorio pues con el teclado la mayor diferencia es que ahora tengo lucecitas, bromas aparte, la respuesta de las teclas es más rápida, pero no he regresado a un teclado más barato como para notar la diferencia.

A pesar de que el punto sea que, por obviedad, un periférico más caro va a ser, por lo general, mejor a uno más barato, tampoco digo que esto sea todo lo que importe, personalmente, considero que no estoy explotando por encima de un 50% mis periféricos, y que si jugara contra alguien con más habilidad pero peores periféricos igual yo perdería, pues la habilidad es lo que realmente decide al final, a menos que nos fuéramos a la parte competitiva, donde obviamente todos apuntan a tener la mayor velocidad de respuesta posible, y entre dos personas del mismo nivel, los periféricos pueden hacer la diferencia.

Mi recomendación sigue siendo que si estás armando una pc y tienes un presupuesto limitado, ve al 100% por los componentes principales, un teclado y mouse de cartón bastan para jugar, ya luego puedes actualizarlos si deseas, pero aún con todo no considero que los periféricos sean prioritarios a menos que te quieras dedicar al competitivo, ahí necesitas una base mínima.

Para que tengan contexto, mi teclado es un Redragon Kumara K552, y el mouse es un Logitech G305, hasta el momento mi experiencia con ambos ha sido impecable y los recomiendo fuertemente si buscas periféricos de calidad y no tan costosos, los hay más baratos y más caros, también depende de tu país, pero hasta el momento no me arrepiento de mi elección.
