Para los que no han visto mis anteriores publicaciones (son un par nada más je je) tengo un proyecto personal que trata en dibujar de manera tradicional los mapas de videojuegos que marcaron mi vida o que simplemente, me gusten mucho. Ya que, aunque no soy gamer y me considero una mala jugadora, me encantan los videojuegos, siendo mi deleite el recorrer los mapas en busca de escenarios interesantes que despierten mi interés. Aclaro que no soy una dibujante profesional, esto se trata de un simple hobbie que tengo y que me encanta, realizado con mucho amor y cariño 💖
Hello to all lovers of video games and their art! For those who have not seen my previous publications (they are a couple more je) I have a personal project that tries to draw in a traditional way the video game maps that marked my life or that I simply like them a lot. Since, although I am not Gamer and I consider myself a bad player, I love video games, being my delight to tour the maps in search of interesting scenarios that arouse my interest. I clarify that I am not a professional cartoonist, this is a simple hobby that I have and that I love it, made with a lot of love and affection 💖
Como muchos niños, crecí con los videojuegos y como muchos otros, crecí viendo a mis hermanos pasar esos videojuegos. Más que nada porque se me hacía complicado algunos niveles. Pero eso nunca me detuvo a la hora de disfrutar de un buen título, como fue el caso del videojuego para N64 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarine of Time. A mi manera, me divertía jugándolo, más que nada realizando las misiones secundarias o explorando el mapa... para mí, andar por los prados de Hyrule, era semejante a andar en ellos realmente, mi imaginación se perdía en ese escenario que, en esa época, se veía increíble. Llevada por ese sentimiento de nostalgia, el mapa de ese maravilloso juego tenía que estar en mi listado. Por tanto, busqué una imagen de referencia por Internet, para comenzar el proceso:
Like many children, I grew up with video games and like many others, I grew up watching my brothers pass those video games. More than anything because some levels were complicated. But that never stopped me when enjoying a good title, as was the case with the video game for N64 ** The Legend of Zelda: Ocarine of Time **. In my way, I had fun playing it, more than anything doing the secondary missions or exploring the map ... for me, walking through the Hyrule meadows, it was similar to really walking, my imagination was lost in that scenario that, in That time looked incredible. Taken by that feeling of nostalgia, the map of that wonderful game had to be in my list. Therefore, I looked for a reference image online, to begin the process:
Y así empecé. Con un lápiz de grafito, elaboré el boceto del mapa, sin hacer tanto detalle. Admito que hubieron zonas que no sabía qué eran ja ja pero como no se trata de un dibujo cien por ciento realista, no había problemas por representar alguna cosa o zona como una mancha, a modo de simplificación.
And so I started. With a graphite pencil, I made the sketch of the map, without making so much detail. I admit that there were areas that did not know what they were ha, but since it is not a hundred percent realistic drawing, there were no problems to represent something or area like a stain, as a simplification.
Lo siguiente, fue pasar al color. Para elaborar estos dibujos, estoy utilizando pintura acrílica. Es en este paso en el que sólo coloco la pintura y confío en que más adelante, le encontraré alguna forma a lo que estoy haciendo ja ja Por lo general me toma de dos a tres capas, obtener una buena cobertura.
The following, was to go to color. To elaborate these drawings, I am using acrylic paint. It is in this step that I only place the paint and I trust that later, I will find some form to what I am doing ha ha usually take me from two to three layers, obtain good coverage.
Luego de ello, procedo a delinear todo con un marcador punta fina de color negro. En esta parte es donde comienzo a ganar confianza, pues empiezo a hallar las formas de mapa, sin mencionar que me parece divertido realizar los pequeños detalles como el césped o las hojas de los árboles. Del mismo modo, aprovecho de dar sombras en las zonas más oscuras.
After that, I proceed to delineate everything with a black fine tip marker. In this part it is where I begin to gain confidence, because I begin to find the forms of map, not to mention that it seems fun to make the small details such as the grass or the leaves of the trees. Similarly, I take advantage of shadowing in the darkest areas.
Una vez hecho esto, llega el turno de los lápices de colores. Con ellos me encargo de dar sombras o tonalidades que no pude lograr con la pintura. A veces también logro dar un poco de luz, aunque prefiero usar la pintura blanca para esa labor. Para realizar las nubes del fondo, también utilicé pintura, lo menciono ya que ne los mapas anteriores, realicé las nubes con algodón. Pero como era demasiado... ya saben, hay que buscar de no gastar tanto material je je aparte que las nubes tenían más esa tonalidad de atardecer, lo que me llevaría a tener que pintar el algodón luego.
Once this is done, it is the turn of the colored pencils. With them I take care of giving shadows or shades that I could not achieve with painting. Sometimes I also manage to give some light, although I prefer to use white paint for that work. To perform the clouds of the background, I also used paint, I mention it since ne the previous maps, I performed the cotton clouds. But as it was too much ... you know, you have to look for not spending so much material, apart from the clouds that the tone of sunset had more, which would lead me to have to paint the cotton later.
Pero, como estoy buscando de añadir así sea un detalle con relieve, pensé en enfocarme esta vez en el nombre del mapa, el cual aparece en la imagen de referencia como una especie de pergamino desplegado. Para realizarlo, utilicé un simple trozo de papel, sobre el que escribí con marcador azul y un marcador dorado que compré y nunca le había dado uso. doblé un poco los bordes de la pieza y la pegué en el mapa, tratando de que se viese un poco levantado, para dar ese efecto tridimensional. Finalmente, dibujé la brújula con un portaminas de grafito.
But, as I am looking to add like this, it is a detail with relief, I thought about focusing this time on the name of the map, which appears in the reference image as a kind of scrolled parchment. To do it, I used a simple piece of paper, on which I wrote with a blue marker and a gold marker that I bought and had never given use. I folded a little the edges of the piece and hit it on the map, trying to get a little raised, to give that three -dimensional effect. Finally, I drew the compass with a graphite portamines.
De esa forma, terminé el mapa. Debo confesar que fue un reto, no porque sufriera realizándolo, pero si porque había unas zonas que no sabía como dibujar y al principio, no le veía mucha forma je je pero estoy muy satisfecha con el producto final. That way, I finished the map. I must confess that it was a challenge, not because I suffered it, but because there were some areas that I did not know how to draw and at first, I did not see a lot of Je Je but I am very satisfied with the final product.
