Well Well Well
I've somewhat forgotten about a few titles through out the events near the end of last year along with the holidays, namely The Witcher 3 which I will be sharing today and Albion Online which is superbly amazing I can't even begin to fathom why and how I was able to forget about it, like completely.
Well I decided to jump back into them for a change after my game pass subscription never renewed I wasn't able to record a For Honor episode even though I pushed the payment manually it still doesn't want to budge, I wonder what's going on there, but I'll give it a day or two and jump back in to see if things have cleared up yet!
For today let's jump back into The Witcher 3 after all it has been over due for quite some time. I can't even remember where I left off.
It seems I was to meet Emperor Emhyr and thus I was dragged off to some fancy lit up room where I was given a proper scrubbing (You know fighting monsters can prove to be dirty work sometimes.)
On top of that I was forced to dress up in garments which were very uncomfortable, not to mention very dull coloured as I was also forced to choose from... black... black... and well black. So I chose the most appealing black.
I was then dragged off to where ever Emperor Emhyr resided in the palace and infront of the audience he attended to I was then forced again to bow for the holyness.
Sheeessh.
It soon became clear that I was summoned to find Ciri who'm Emhyr is the father of.
I didn't seem to have much of a choice in this matter but since it is Ciri I had to accept this quest. I've not seen her for years and from what I've heard she has grown into a young lady.
(Now I think when the time comes where I found Ciri, accepting the coin Emhyr offers will play a big role in how the story ends. So note to self don't accept the coinage)
It's rarely a pleasant occasion to deal with Emperors.
After the "unpleasant" meeting with Emhyr I returned to Yennefer in her chambers where she showed me a picture of what Ciri might look like, according to the informers for that matter.
We discussed a few things such as the Wild Hunt chasing after Ciri so finding her was of utmost importance before the Wild Hunt finds her. So while I need to make a few preparations Yennefer teleported to get a jump on them. So we will need to split up again after going through such an arduous journey to find her!
Yennefer suggested that I might find it usefull to speak with Ambassador Var Attre regarding the warring situations. Which I did. It's always usefull to know where and where not one can travel safely.
Getting caught off guard was not the way a Witcher wanted to go down.
By the looks of it Emhyr seems to be winning the war but Radovid is putting up more resistance then first anticipated.
So off I set to Velen in Temeria, I arrived there five days later which means that Yennefer has a five day head start on me which is somewhat re-assuring if that's the right word. No doubt I could have been here five days earlier if I chose to use teleportation but I prefer not to since it makes you feel sick and drowsy.
Even though I've made more progress than I thought possible for such a short time it feels like I'm right back where I started.
Back at the Hanged mans tree.
I have a few stops to make before I can go full out in the search for Ciri but time is of the essence but so is information and supplies.
I'm looking for the one they call the Red Baron albeit I know where to find him but I have no prior information about this man other than him claiming a castle that he had no birth right to.
Some fresh bodies on the hanged mans tree, to be expected for a wartorn country.
So while on the way to the Inn at the crossroads I bumped into a soldier that was tied up next to the river bank where drowners were on their way to devour him.
As always I love to slash thing into pieces, lately I've been loving the sword fighting games more and more.. okay enough of that.
So i jumped of from Roach and I made my way down to the river side where I engaged the drowners. Beat them up proper until they destroyed me. See this is where I forgot that I was playing the game on HARD mode so I need to be more careful next time.
This is also where my recorder stopped recording for some weird reason so the post would be cut short. There is some content that would be left out when writing the next post but it's not too much and won't affect the story too much, at-least I hope so.😅
