Hello everyone!
I know I was a bit harsh with my previous post talking about Papers Please and as it tested my patience, I have reconsidered playing it again with a different mindset.
This time I will be with my eyes open.
This game makes you read a lot, to be constantly rechecking the rule book to see if you are not skipping something, to see if all the documents are in order or if the gender of the person in front of you is what it says on his passport.
In addition to this, there is all the increasing paperwork that is assigned to us day after day, there are unique events as well as people who only pass through the checkpoint to tell us something specific and leave,
there are also situations where we are asked for help through letters that we can ignore or act by sealing the fate of another migrant in line, there are many decisions we can make or not.

Anyway I have one thing clear, I keep having errors in this game especially with the dates, I have not found a way to memorize the day I'm in and I have to be checking to see if any passport or permit is expired.
it gets more intense when they start asking for a work permit for those who want to pass, or an entry permit which only delays my decision, because I have to keep track of dates as well as minuscule details like the person's gender or expiration date.
Certainly it is a stressful game and that is the goal, after the end of the day we also have to deal with the situation at home where it is very likely that everything will get worse very quickly.
Whether it is because of hunger, cold or in the worst case scenario that one of our family members gets sick, what we earn at the end of each day is of course not enough for everyone so we have to be mentally prepared to make sacrifices at the end of each day.

I'm missing a little more visual reinforcement in this part of the game, because I can focus on just keeping some family members alive and concentrate on my work, I would like some family sprite and not just letters and numbers, that would be nice.
At least the game has some humorous moments between so much tension, there is one guy in particular that every time he comes alone he comes with made up documents from some made up country, it's funny and it's a bit different from the other sidequests that are a bit more tragic.
There are for example some who want to enter to talk like women of the night and gives us a note of help so that we do not let pass the one who would be his boss to the nation, and we can or not let him enter if he has everything right plus there are also other situations where there are interesting relationships between those who enter the country.
I wish I could enjoy all that because on the bottom screen we have a timer that will limit the number of users we can serve and therefore the stories that can be told, I'm also in the middle of everything trying to do my best but there are always those blessed fines that ruin everything.
It's a stressful game like few others, I don't even want to imagine how it can be in the real world this kind of situations, but I feel it's a very good representation of this kind of hermetic country and a good critique.

Ya se que fui un poco duro con mi post anterior hablando sobre Papers Please y como ponia a prueba mi paciencia, he reconsiderado volver a jugarlo con otra mentalidad.
Esta vez si estare con los ojos abiertos.
Este juego te pone a leer bastante, a estar constantemente re chequeando el libro de reglas para ver si no te saltas alguna, de ver si todos los documentos estan en orden o de si el genero de la persona que esta en frente tuyo es el que dice en su pasaporte.
Ademas que a esto se suma todo el papeleo creciente que dia tras dia nos asignan, hay eventos unicos asi como personas que solo pasan por la garita para decirnos algo concreto y marcharse,
tambien hay situaciones en donde nos piden ayuda mediante cartas que podemos ignorar o actuar sellando el destino de algun otro migrante en la fila, hay muchas decisiones que podemos tomar o no.
Sea como sea tengo una cosa clara, no paro de tener errores en este juego sobretodo con las fechas, no he encontrado forma de memorizarme el dia en el que estoy y tengo que estar checando a ver si algun pasaporte o permiso esta vencido.
se va poniendo mas intenso cuando empiezan a pedir permiso de trabajo a los que quieran pasar, o un permiso de entrada que lo unico que hace es retrasar mi decision, porque hay que estar pendientes de las fechas asi como de detalles minusculos como el genero de la persona o la fecha de caducidad.
Ciertamente es un juego estresante y es el objetivo, despues de finalizar la jornada tenemos tambien que lidiar con la situacion en casa en donde es muy probable que todo empeore muy rapidamente.
Ya sea por hambre, frio o en el peor de los casos que alguno de nuestros familiares se enferme, lo que ganamos al final de cada jornada por supuesto no alcanza para todos asi que tenemos que estar mentalizados en hacer sacrificios a cada jornada que termina.
Me falta un poco mas de refuerzo visual en esta parte del juego, porque puedo enfocarme en simplemente mantener a algunos miembros de la familia vivos y concentrarme en mi trabajo, quisiera algun sprite de la familia y no solo letras y numeros, eso estaria bien.
Al menos el juego tiene algunos momentos de humor entre tanta tension, hay un sujeto en particular que cada vez que viene solo viene conlos documentos inventados de algun pais inventado, es divertido y varia un poco de las demas sidequest que hay que son algo mas tragicas
Hay por ejemplo de algunos que quieren entrar para hablar como mujeres de la noche y nos da una nota de ayuda para que no dejemos pasar al que seria su jefe a la nacion, y podemos o no dejarlo entrar si tiene todo bien ademas de que tambien hay otras situaciones en donde hay relaciones interesantes entre los que entran al pais.
Ojala pudiese disfrutar de todo eso porque en la pantalla inferior tenemos un temporizador que nos va a limitar la cantidad de usuarios que podamos atender y por ello las historias que se pueden contar, tambien estoy en el medio de todo tratando de hacerlo lo mejor posible pero siempre estan esas benditas multas que arruinan todo
Es un juego estresante como pocos, no me quiero ni imaginar como puede ser en el mundo real este tipo de situaciones, pero siento que es una representacion muy buena de este tipode pais hermeticos y una buena critica
