Hello! I want to share with all of you the restoration of a Videosonic brand arcade machine from 1992, it is something that I had been wanting to do for a long time, it was a long and hard job but very fun, eight months late in restoring it and the total expense was 800 euros more or less.
It has emulators for supernintendo, nintendo, sega, mame, cps3, model2, pc, etc. and hundreds of roms with the best games that were played in arcades in the nineties.
Next I will be putting images and descriptions to serve as a small guide with the steps I followed.
In this first image you can see how the machine was originally.
Repair of damage with putty and many hours of sanding, holes and scratches.
It was in quite poor condition, the machine was manufactured in 1992.
Repair of holes and breaks.
Reconstruction of corners.
Second hole for 2.1 audio, the original worked in mono.
Manufacture of tray for keyboard and mouse.
Cover plastic edges in yellow
Repainted in matt black after restoration.
You can admire the restoration.
I spent three months designing all the art that would cover the machine, a lot of time and effort, they are based on the Supernintendo game Breath of fire 2.
Hacking of two pc pads to assign the functions of the pads to the buttons and controls of the machine.
Open machine
Control panel finished, six buttons per player, plus four service buttons, credits, escape, etc.
Front of the machine finished.
For external 2.1 audio system.
Subwoofer bass output, outside.
Subwoofer bass output, inside.
Keyboard and mouse tray.
Keyboard and mouse.
Lower front.
Pc, pentium 400 euros, plus a good video card for games 90 euros.
21 inch tv.
The tv is connected by a reconstructed cable, on one side it has a euro connector for the tv and on the other VGA for the pc, it also has a cable that connects to the power supply so that the connection is automatic, with this cable and this connection the games look the same as in any 90's arcade.
VGA connections
scart connections
Unfinished front, the trim for the tv is missing.
Backlight system, the two 2.1 speakers remain to be placed.
Extractor to take out the heat of the beast.
Good wheels, very important.

Eight months of approximate work, it was learning little by little and as problems appeared they were solved, yes, one and no more hahaha.
