Hello Gamers! I hope everyone is doing well! I continue my mission in Metro 2033, and this time I must move forward to rescue my comrade, Pavel. Remember in the last post, the Red Army comrade who helped us escape from the Nazis? Well, he's been captured! Obviously, I can't let him die on the front lines, so I have to rescue my comrade no matter what. Damn Nazis, I'll smash their brains out. Amidst fetid sewers filled with corpses and radiation, I sneak through the tunnels to find where they've taken my comrade.
Being stealthy is the main thing, but you also have to know when and how to attack, wait for the right moment to spend your bullets. Remember that money is ammo, and you'll always want to stock up on bullets for something extra back at the base. The base is made up of production machinery, cells, and checkpoints. It's a really large bunker with a number of functions. So we arrive at a sort of factory where, first, we have three soldiers we need to know how to execute. There's no other option; stealth won't help, since I have to traverse the entire factory from end to end to reach the other end. With no other choice, I decide to shoot, one after the other.
Then you start hearing their screams, the alarm in the distance, and the chaos on the lower floor. That's when I decide to stay upstairs to watch their movements and decide what to do. Keeping an eye on your back is essential; you never know how enemies will appear. It's a big feature here; they can come from multiple directions. I decide to go downstairs and get a better view of what's happening. Without further ado, I have to face a firefight.
The shots come and go. I try to stay focused on each enemy, trying to be as efficient as possible when shooting. So I decide to switch weapons. A submachine gun is good, but a shotgun, even a single-shot shot, can do more damage up close... much more damage. So I begin to make my way through the enemies, one by one, loading bullet by bullet, shooting at every silhouette I see, and that's it, they're all dead, or so I thought...
As I begin to scan the area, I see three more enemies approaching, in armored suits. So I'm simply at a point where I can't do much. Either I go out and shoot, trying to sneak to better cover, or I let them find me, because I won't let them. So I attack first with the shotgun and run to the hiding place on the left. The enemy follows me. They've inevitably discovered where I am. So I have no choice but to face them one after another. Between the shotgun and the submachine gun, these enemies last longer; armored suits make them more resistant to gunfire. After defeating them, one of them begs for mercy, pleading for his life, "Please don't kill me." Okay, dude, put your fucking gun down, damn it, do it now! And I knock him out since I don't know if he'll warn others; enemy bases have alarms everywhere. So I finally get the key and can access the elevator that will take me to my destination.
Amidst rubble and death, I find my friend Pavel, who is about to be executed by two Nazis. They are strangling him with a rope. I immediately attack them to free him. I cut the ropes and we run away. However, things don't end there... they begin to chase us, and together with Pavel, I escape to the most remote corners of the subway stations. Here, a new problem begins: the stations will be infested with mutations, so we must confront these creatures.
As we advance, everything gets worse. The destruction is relentless: the radiation, the eggs full of bugs that never stop moving, the impossibility of moving quickly, and of course, the relentless fight against the creatures will make this escape a deadly adventure. We've reached an unknown location. We don't know if we're inside a building, a station, or a base. Where are we really? We'll find out this and much more in the next episode of METRO 2033.
