In my exploration of the blockchain gaming space I've been coming along some real treasures and that's why I'm here again today. Pixels describes itself like this:

A Free Head Start?!?
I discovered this game while completing some CoinBase Earn quests to collect tokens. For those who may not know, CoinBase, one of the largest crypto-exchanges in the world, has a program where you can get paid to complete <5minuite classes on various crypto from your app. I cant say for sure but it seem to me that as your account ages you are offered more and larger quests. They all amount to free money though so I always complete them.
Discovering this game through this program gave me a great head start in an already very new game. I would recommend that any of you who are able download CoinBase and use this program to get $37 in free RONIN.

Getting Started in Pixel
Upon logging in and completing the tutorial you'll be granted your own SPECK of the Pixels universe. This is essentially a small plot of land floating in space you can turn into your very own farm! Not only that it comes stocked with a kitchen, bed, dresser, some field, trees, and more! Score! This is way better than 40-acres and a mule! You can collect seeds from a magical 'Infinifunnel' located in your humble dwelling.
This 'Infinifunnel' also gives you a ton of orders you can fill for gold. For your first few days on the farm this will be a lifeline.
Your first gameplay loop will be:
- Planting and harvesting Popberries
- Turning them into Popberry jam
- Selling the berries and jam
It's not much but it's honest income and it will help you stack your first few hundred gold.
Early Days on the Farm
Your first few days on the farm will be spent getting it set up however you want to play. Do you want to be a generalist or focus on farming, wood, or mining. Pixels is a game of skills and, as you play, they will be leveling up granting you access to new items and technology.
You can find whatever you need in town and, while it might be a bit overwhelming, there is a ton to discover there.

I even found an area where a group of playeres were training their pets. The world feels very alive.
You should note that in the upper left hand side of the screen you have a energy bar that you can use up over the corpse of the day. This can be a fairly slow process or something you blow through in five minutes. How you play is up to you. I've been involved in Pixels for less than a week and my Speck has filled up and it's time to unlock more land. My current self- defined quest is to gather the 500gold needed to get a deed for a larger Speck ASAP.

One of the very interesting things I found about Pixels is how the in-game monetary system bleeds over into the PIXEL cryptocurrency on the Ronin network in a very simple way.
Put simply:
- PIXEL and be purchased in-game with gold
- VIP time can be purchased with PIXEL
- All necessary in-game items are purchased with Gold or PIXEL
This means a 'free2play' player can earn their own cryto which they can then cash our or spend in-game on premium content. How will this develop? Only time will tell! I suggest that you give me a follow if you are interested in finding out!
