Today I'm going to talk about 2 abilities that I love to have in my battles, they are Inspire and Protect.
These 2 buffs are very useful in battle, especially if you use several melee monsters or face melee and ranged monsters in battle.
- The Inspire ability will increase my monsters' melee attack by +1.
- The Protect ability will increase my monsters' armor by +2.
Monsters with melee attack have a big disadvantage, which is that they can only attack in the first position, but there are exceptions such as the Reach, Sneak, Opportunity and Charge abilities.
The Reach ability allows the monster with melee attack to attack in the second position.
The Sneak ability allows the monster with melee attack to attack in any position and target the enemy monster positioned in the last position.
The Opportunity ability allows the monster with melee attack to attack in any position and target the enemy monster with the lowest health.
The Charge ability allows a monster with a melee attack to attack in any position.
In addition to these abilities, there are battle rules such as Super Sneak, Equal Opportunity, Maneuvers, and Melee Mayhem that will help melee monsters attack in other positions.
- The Super Sneak rule gives the Sneak ability to all melee monsters in battle.
- The Equal Opportunity rule gives the Opportunity ability to all monsters in battle.
- The Maneuvers rule gives the Reach ability to all monsters in battle.
- The Melee Mayhem rule allows all melee monsters to attack in any position.
Since I like to use monsters with melee attacks in my battles because they are powerful, I always try to take advantage of these rules and abilities to use as many melee monsters as I can and to help them even more, I use abilities such as Inspire to make them even stronger in battle.

In this battle I used 3 melee monsters, 1 of them in the first position, 1 with the Reach ability and 1 with the opportunity ability, all 3 have a powerful attack and became even stronger when I added the Inspire buff.
In the battle my opponent had a good advantage because the Earthquake rule existed and most of his monsters had the Flying ability, so they were not affected by the damage from the Earthquake rule. But even with the advantage, my attack was far superior and after just a few rounds I showed that a powerful attack is one of the best strategies in Splinterlands.
As you can see, these are great buffs to have in battle.

Como eu gosto de utilizar monstros com ataque melee nas minhas batalhas porque eles são poderosos, eu sempre tento me aproveitar dessas regras e habilidades para usar o máximo de monstros melee que eu conseguir e para ajudar eles ainda mais, eu utilizo habilidades como a Inspire para deixar eles ainda mais fortes na batalha.

Nessa batalha eu utilizei 3 monstros melee, 1 deles na primeira posição, 1 com a habilidade Reach e 1 com a habilidade opportunity, todos os 3 possuem um ataque poderoso e ficaram ainda mais fortes quando eu adicionei o buff Inspire.
Na batalha meu adversário tinha uma boa vantagem porque existia a regra Earthquake e a maioria dos monstros dele possuíam a habilidade Flying, então eles não eram afetados pelo dano da regra Earthquake. Mas mesmo possuindo a vantagem o meu ataque era muito superior e após apenas alguns rounds eu mostrei que um ataque poderoso é uma das melhores estratégias em Splinterlands.
Como vocês podem ver, esses são ótimos buffs para se ter na batalha.
