It's that time again: It's April 1st, 2022 and numerous game developers, publishers and hardware manufacturers feel called upon to sweeten your start into the weekend with funny announcements on this very special day.
I picked up 5 of them which definetly made my day
Goat simulator is filmed
As you probably know, video game adaptations are a guarantee of great cinema. Titles like Far Cry, Postal, Alone in the Dark and this film adaptation of Dungeon Siege, whose complicated name I can't remember right now, guarantee a unique screen experience.
So why not a Goat Simulator movie? In the announcement trailer, you can see actors like Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead), Tom Felton (Harry Potter series), and Kate Flannery (The Office) apply to play the lead role of Pilgor the goat.
There are even first details about the plot:
The small town goat Pilgor works like the other animals on the farm, but dreams of becoming a famous movie star.
However, this wish is overshadowed by a tragic fate: since childhood, Pilgor and the other goats have been haunted by a strange, mysterious curse that leads to random and inexplicable misfortunes everywhere.
The air triangle simulator
Everyone knows how to play air guitar. But air triangle?
Yes, that's really shocking!
The trailer for this upcoming VR game, reminiscent of a mixture of Guitar Hero and music class in elementary school, definitely leaves you wanting more. It's just a pity that there wasn't a great solo shown here. Should be particularly good on the triangle.
Among Us: Horse Edition
It's a little bit weird, a little bit sexy and totally unnecessary: in the hype game of the year 2020, Among Us, yesterda all players were horses.
Why? One does not know.
And not even 100 horses will get me to find out for you either. Sorry.
Eyes for Overwatch
Overwatch is bringing back the googly eyes again this year.
Yes, good old Googly Eyes - harmless fun that doesn't hurt anyone.
Full-Body suit from Razer
Razer announced a full-body VR suit with 1,333,337 haptic sensors and - of course - RGB lighting!
If you own a thing like that, it doesn't matter that much if you're single again. The perfect gadget for the Steam hit Orc Massage, which - no April Fool's joke - has actually sold over 100,000 copies.
With over a million sensors, it's not just supposed to provide haptic impressions - hooray, I can feel the real pain when I'm fighting! – but also make emotions tangible.
How about you?
Did you stumble across good April Fools jokes or did you even fall for some?
