Nothing better than getting paid to eliminate heroes in some dungeon, right? Imagine being hired for that? Stop imagining, you need to check out the indie game MOBS, INC. A fast-paced action game similar to Bullet Hell games, but here you are the monster responsible for eliminating adventurers who seek your death for the big reward.

As the game was originally designed to participate in a Game Jam, in this case being the big winner in Winner of the Ludum Dare 33, it has this theme of being a fast game, without much information about a story or plot to follow. All we know here is that you are paid to eliminate these heroes. The game at the beginning can be confusing, you find yourself in a dungeon with some heroes trying to eliminate you, all you know is that you need to stay alive somehow, after all, this is your job.
The interface is quite intuitive although as I mentioned nothing is explained, you realize that your life is those little hearts below, in a set with some things blocked. With each enemy eliminated, your character gets a certain amount of EXP to level up, or in the case of the game, meet the work goal to be promoted. But what happens if you don't meet that goal and end up being eliminated by some hero? See below.
Yes, you are called in for a talk with the Boss. I believe he's the Devil or something like that. He explains that you have 4 chances to be promoted, or you will be fired. Then he sends you back to work and finish the job. I loved how the art and sound part was produced, it is quite detailed and cozy for a game made in a few hours.
After a few tries, I got my first promotion, I thought I would just move on to the next phase or new enemies would be added, but I was wrong. You are introduced to new mechanics and abilities for your character. It's funny sometimes to observe the Employees of the month boards, we have what seems to be a Minecraft Creeper, the other one I couldn't relate to anything, maybe a Stone Golem. What's that writer doing there? It's funny.
This new ability I obtained with my promotion was quite useful in situations with many heroes in the dungeon, the game is frantic and I have to warn you about that, so any wrong move and you'll be cursed again by the Boss. This time I managed to get a promotion without being eliminated and start all over again, it seemed to have evolved into a strong skeletal form. I liked the old look better, it looked like a powerful Necromancer.
This character's ability was a bit difficult to control, he turned into a big giant ball and bounced around the dungeon until a certain moment. Sometimes it was interesting because it could eliminate everyone in a few seconds, however, on some occasions, it ends up being caught off guard at the wrong moment. Being killed by a nonsense in fractions of seconds.
I couldn't get any further than that, even after trying dozens of times. The game is addictive and you want to unravel everything that can happen until the last promotion. Well, I hope we become the Boss ourselves. One curious thing I noticed during my gameplay, it seems that everything is seen through a television, as you can see the layout and the format of the game's action frame. Could we be the Boss controlling all this? Interesting.

Nada melhor como ser pago para eliminar heróis em algum calabouço não é mesmo? Imagine ser contratado para isso? Chega de imaginar, você precisa conhecer o jogo indie MOBS, INC. Uma jogo de de ação rápida semelhante a jogos no genêro Bullet Hell, no entanto você aqui é o monstro responsável por eliminar os aventureiros que desejam sua morte para conseguir a grande recompensa.

Como o jogo foi originalmente designado para participar de uma Game Jam, no caso sendo o grande vencedor em Winner of the Ludum Dare 33, ele tem essa temática de ser um jogo rápido, sem muitas informações sobre uma história ou enredo a ser seguido. Tudo que sabemos aqui é que você é pago para eliminar esses heróis. O jogo de inicio pode ser uma confusão, você se encontra em um calabouço com alguns heróis tentando te eliminar, tudo oque você sabe que é que você precisa se manter vivo de qualquer forma, afinal esse é o seu trabalho.
A interface é bastante intuitiva embora como mencionei nada explicado, você percebe que sua vida são aqueles pequenos corações abaixo, em um conjunto com algumas coisas bloqueadas. A cada inimigo eliminado seu personagem obtém uma quantidade de EXP para subir de nível, ou no caso do jogo, bater a meta de trabalho para ser promovido. Mas oque acontece se você não conseguir essa meta e acabar sendo eliminado por algum herói? Veja isso abaixo.
Sim, você é chamado para conversar com o Chefe. Eu acredito que ele seja o Diabo ou algo assim. Ele explica que você tem 4 chances para ser promovido, ou sera demitido. Então ele te manda novamente para voltar ao trabalho e terminar o serviço. Eu adorei como a arte e parte sonora foi produzida, isso é, ficou bastante detalhista e aconchegante para um jogo feito em algumas horas.
Depois de algumas tentativas, consegui minha primeira promoção, eu achei que apenas mudaria de fase ou novos inimigos seriam adicionados, mas estava enganado. Você é apresentado a novas mecânicas e habilidades para seu personagem, É engraçado as vezes observar as placas de Funcionários do mês, temos oque parece ser um Creeper de Minecraft, o outro eu não consegui assemelhar a nada, talvez um Golem de Pedra. Oque aquele escritor faz ali? É engraçado.
Essa nova habilidade que eu obtive com minha promoção era bastante útil em situações que continham muitos heróis no calabouço, o jogo é frenético e eu tenho que avisar sobre isso, então qualquer movimento errado e você estará sendo xingado novamente pelo Chefe. Dessa vez eu consegui receber uma promoção sem ser eliminado e voltar tudo novamente, parecia ter evoluido para uma forma esquelética forte. Eu gostei mais do visual do antigo, parecia um poderoso Necromancer.
A habilidade desse personagem era um pouco ruim de controlar, ele se transformava em uma grande bola gigante e ficava ricocheteando pelo calabouço até um determinado momento. As vezes era interessante porque conseguia eliminar todos em alguns segundos, no entanto em algumas ocasiões acaba sendo pego de surpresa ao acabar no momento errado. Sendo morto por uma besteira em frações de segundos.
Não consegui ir mais longe que isso, mesmo tentando algumas dezenas de tentativas. O jogo é viciante e você deseja conseguir desvendar tudo que pode acontecer até a ultima promoção. Bom eu espero que nós se tornemos o próprio Chefe. Uma coisa curiosa que eu percebi durante minha jogatina, parece que tudo é visto através de uma televisão, como você pode perceber o Layout e o formato do quadro de ação do jogo. Seriamos nós o próprio Chefe controlando tudo isso? Interessante.
