"Bunnei, Yuzu, settled quickly
Bunnei made the right call
By settling, there isn't further discussion in court about emulation - this is important to remain the case as long as possible - as further expansion on the discussion, any precident made in the courtroom, and a gavel drop, could change things across the board. Given the options, hats-off, to Bunnei preserving the same emulation rules since the 90s"

we will miss you
Therefore
"Ryujinx will be safe as long as they dont make the same mistakes as Yuzu, dont patch up the emulator for an unreleased game and dont lock said patches behind a paywall on patreon"
"$30,000/month (or $29k and change) as of March 2024
and compared to what it was BEFORE May 2023, AFTER May 2023
Yeah... that's a lot of money
they got cocky too, WAY too much advertising in public domain"
the bigger problem is citra, (another project by the yuzu team for 3DS emulation)
without citra, all those many true Nintendo fans with 3DS who bought their games in the nintendo eshop
probably think they cannot play most of their favorite games anymore - or it could have come to that, if emulation grey area changes..
after many 3DS games just gone with 3DS eshop
(from a year ago)
Nintendo basically bricked their console - one needs now emulation (for 3DS) for ones bought games
"They down Citra as well. Nintendo hates their consumers so much, they don't want them to be able to keep their 3DS games. "
and now thinking without citra, they cannot play the nintendo games THEY BOUGHT anymore AT ALL
while yuzu has ryujinx as alternative (and upcoming forks of open source yuzu code), citra has none atm
but still, everything not soo bad
due to open-source prjects, everyone can just pick up the work again, a fork will come for sure
and bunnei doing the right thing and so preserving our grey emulation area
great videos from a lawyer liking games and emulation
and a great video about piracy (and its legality, morality, ethics) in general
VERY SHORT:
Like Gabe Newell said "We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem."
This also goes for their (nintendo's) soundtracks and music in general.
"And Lord Gabe didn't say that only yesterday, but quite a long time ago
You could even argue, that Gabe saying that, it was what the industry then turned towards as a solution."
I argue
Philosophy is always the solution
So what do we learn?
All those degenerated communist kiddos rage and hate at their most favorite games devs
Nintendo (cuz if it wasnt their favorite, they wouldnt even care)
but just do not want to understand and learn that nintendo also just wants to survive as company
and has also no choice in this legal (communist planned economy finance) system
our international maritine law and personnel (person) management system is crap anyway
xd
now instead of raging at nintendo to make nintendo change (and die - which results in no new free games for you fucking degenerate communist kiddos)
YOU SHOULD MAKE THE LEGAL SYSTEM CHANGE
You fucking slave (don't take it too personally - we all are)
Are being used - even against your most favorite game dev, without whom your childhood would have been hell.
SO START THINKING
and
damn man all nintendo fans are now really fucking mad
especially cuz citra (hint, the code is open and still around and not gone ;) )
all the people just wanting to play the games they bought
(this will bite nintendo truly in the ass, the non conspiracy, true fans -most not having a clue about tech- just wanting to play their bought games)
Bunnei, Yuzu, settled quickly

and because you have made it to the end - here a really cool game for free for you! ;) (no piracy)
