Wrestling Organization Online (WOO) will allow players to use NFT versions of their wrestlers in-game to compete against other players by booking shows. These NFTs are much more than just images saved on a blockchain. The NFT allows for true ownership of a digital asset. You cannot use a wrestler in a match without owning the underlying NFT. Players will use their wrestling organization and wrestlers to "book shows" and compete against other players.
Battle Mechanics:
Wrestling Organization Online (WOO) is an auto battler that will compare the card starts and simulate each match for the player. Once wrestlers are booked for matches and each wrestling organization submits their choices, the matches are set and cannot be changed.
Card Stats:
These stats include cost, speed, damage, and health.
Cost: This represents the cost for the promoter to book the talent for a match. Once a talent is booked for a match, their cost is deducted from your show budget.
Speed: This represents how fast your wrestler is. Speed is used to determine which wrestler acts first and how likely they can evade an attack.
Damage: This represents how much damage the wrestler's moves will do to an opponent if successful.
Health: This represents the wrestler's endurance. As wrestlers HP depletes, they will be at greater risk of submitting or being pinned.
Moves:
Each wrestler will have three moves that will evolve as the wrestler levels up. Moves are used in order with, the 3rd move being the Finishing move. Each time wrestler attacks, they will advance what move they use. If a wrestler misses, they will return to their first move on their next attack.
Move traits:
Each move can have one of four available traits.
Standard: The move deals normal damage with no extra effect.
Pin: The move deals normal damage and attempts a pin.
Submission: The move deals normal damage and attempts a submission.
Finish: The move deals double damage and attempts a pin or submission.
Managers:
Managers are optional cards that can influence one match per show. A manager's ability can significantly affect the outcome of a match and, if used strategically, can turn a losing effort into a landslide win.
These abilities can include stat buffs, interferences, and distractions. More information on specific abilities will be announced later.
Booking a show:
Players will compete against others by running shows. Each show will pit two rival promoters against each other to determine who is the best. Players will have a limited show budget and four matches to book wrestlers to compete in. Every show will contain the following match structure: one male match, one female match, one tag team match, and one main event that can be either a male, female, or tag team match.
The main event will have unique rules and be worth two victory points. Every undercard match will be worth one victory point.
Main event rules:
The main event will have unique rules which can include the following match types.
Dog collar match: Moves never miss.
Hardcore match: Moves do 2x damage.
First blood match: First to 0 health loses.
Cage match: No managers.
Ironman match: Everyone has the same amount of health.
More information will be provided later, but we hope this answers many of your questions about how Wrestling Organization Online (WOO) will use NFTs in-game. Also, check out the WOO Whitepaper!
