I love warthunder. I love violating these beauties of aircraft with what looks like teenage vandalism as I put a 30mm round through a cockpit.
The J35A is an amazing piece of engineering from the Swedish people, it's design being from the 1950's and almost being truly supersonic capable (at least in Warthunder, at least), is a true feat of engineering at the time and even now, it is a fascinating plane. It's cockpit having some of the most advanced features at the time, a radar set with the display underneath the aiming reticules (yes, plural reticules as seen in the picture below). If anyone knows the history of why it has two gun sights I would love to know!
But the most curious thing about this plane is it's ability to have a manuever mode, which can prove extremely handy in very specific situations. It should never be used outside of dogfights where you know whoever is tailing you will overshoot you by miles if you play it smart. But it's all dependent on knowing the energy you have and the energy your enemy has. It takes a fair bit of learning to fly efficiently, but once done, the satisfaction of swatting planes out of the sky with stealth belts (the bullets leave no trails) is immeasurable!
Great plane bad game haha.
But it often gets me thinking of player expression in games, how it has really fallen throughout the years. Not without good reason though, as many of the Call Of Duty entries have proven with their multiplayer. (some were pretty funny though) But how would anyone make something with full customisation of emblems or items in game without the players abusing it?
