Intro.
I had not taken the time to sit back, relax, and play some of the games I have on my gaming PC for quite a while.
I still have several pending experiences with various games. I don't know how to explain it, but video games have always been a part of my life since I was very young.
I want to know how this game ends. It has that characteristic of breaking the fourth wall; I know the story can't be too extensive, so it's very possible that I'll finish it soon.
I've noticed that I've developed a liking for more creative video games, ones with a story or that simply provide a space for interaction. You and I know that competitive games exist; that's where things get serious with teams, etc.
I really enjoy fighting games, and I believe I could develop some good skills for something competitive. But it's like I've never wanted to. For instance, I thought about it when I picked up Superhot again, which is a game for my entertainment, with levels and each level being different with its own map, etc. Quite similar to those afternoons of playing puzzle games with levels.
Playing after a while.

Superhot is a shooter where you have to complete each map using your surroundings and the weapons you pick up. It has the feature that time slows down when you don't move. Despite that, you sometimes have to be very aggressive to overcome the level.
Not having played it for a while, I returned very calmly to face the levels that followed. They were clearly more challenging than the levels you play when you start the game.
Well, I know how the game's dynamics work. I'd say this happens in all areas of life. I had completely lost the rhythm of the game. I don't know how many times I repeated the levels before managing to overcome them.
Imagine that in a competitive setting π. It's funny to experience the effect of not continuing something and when you come back, you don't have the same skill.

Although it's nothing that bothers me. In fact, it makes the game more challenging and entertaining. It's like when you watch a movie again after a long time. There's a small opportunity to enjoy it again. Not like the first time, but sometimes you don't remember certain scenes, so it's almost like the first time.

In these cases, you can even replay certain games you've already finished. Situations that only happen with games that are really good.
Time goes by and you play through the whole story again. It has happened to me with some titles.
Let's talk about reaction levels

Of course, it's not difficult to pick up Superhot again. It's a theoretically simple game but with great visual art.
It has a bit of this style of older games that added a certain difficulty to make the game longer. It's due to repeating levels upon failure. However, this game does save your progress. Before, if you lost, you had to start from the beginning. At most, they gave you three chances before sending you back to the beginning of the game.

I think like any video game, you just need a certain level of reaction. Some levels were easier than others; where I struggled more was in the confined space levels. I had a harder time making decisions in tight spaces. Since it demanded faster thinking.
In the end, you end up passing the level because with each mistake, a new way to solve it comes to mind. I think the best players are those who manage to see all the possibilities, execute them in their minds, and within seconds, come up with the best decision.

I, however, am not one of those players π. Sometimes I even intentionally fail just to gather more information; it's a bad habit. But knowing that I have infinite opportunities...

...I arrive at the solution that way. Although it would be great to practice this approach of thinking everything through and then acting, getting the expected result.
I guess the greatest warriors of the past managed to do something similar in their battles. We can replicate it in video games. Because now the digital world exists; we're no longer in an era where we had to fight to the death. Now, there's respawn.

In these advanced levels, you're given the ability to switch positions with an enemy. Alluding to the fact that in this virtual world, you can transport your mind to any other body.
That's crazy.

Then you look back at what used to be your body, taking all the hits that you wouldn't have dodged. Anyway, it was great to experience picking up this game again for a while. I'll upload a video soon so you can see how it went.
