Putting aside the zombies of “World War Z”, I wanted to publish in this post the great expectations I think about the new DLC of the Lies Of P game... called Lies of P: Overture.

¿Hola otra vez comunidad Hivegaming como están todos? Yo estoy muy feliz como siempre compartiendo muchas cosas con ustedes, ver sus puntos de vista, sus gameplays y entre más. Apartando un poco los zombis de “World War Z”, quería publicar en este post las grandes expectativas que pienso acerca del nuevo DLC del juego de Lies Of P… llamado Lies of P: Overture.
If you thought Lies of P was already dark and twisted enough, get ready for its new DLC, From my point of view this additional content will be something great, soulslike I found a great fondness for this. Here it takes us back to the last glory days of Krat, just before the Puppet Frenzy turned the city into mechanical chaos. It's as if someone said, “You know what this Pinocchio story needs, more tragedy and snow!”

From the moment Lies of P came into our hands, it was clear that this wasn't just a game; it was an artistic statement. Inspired by the classic Pinocchio tale, this title immersed us in a bleak Soulslike world where lying was not only a mechanic, but a necessity for survival. I didn't believe this project was a bit over the top, well, I was wrong gentlemen....

Desde el momento en que Lies of P llegó a nuestras manos, quedó claro que no era un simple juego; era una declaración artística. Inspirado en el clásico cuento de Pinocho, este título nos sumergió en un mundo sombrío al estilo Soulslike, donde mentir no solo era una mecánica, sino una necesidad para sobrevivir. The base game, Lies of P, presented us with a world inspired by the Belle Époque, where the puppets rebelled and you, (if you played the game like me you'll know why) as a Pinocchio armed to the teeth, had to face enemies that seemed to come out of a watchmaker's nightmares. With its Soulslike combat and moral decisions that made you question whether lying was really that bad, the game managed to captivate fans of the genre. The truth is that the people who get you in the course of the game really are very sad and you don't know what is worse, telling them the truth, or a lie to relax the feeling they carry of losing something or someone. For me it cost me.

El juego base, Lies of P, nos presentó un mundo inspirado en la Belle Époque, donde las marionetas se rebelaron y tú, (si pasaron el juego como yo ya sabrán porque) como un Pinocho armado hasta los dientes, debías enfrentarte a enemigos que parecían salidos de las pesadillas de un relojero. Con su combate al estilo Soulslike y decisiones morales que te hacían cuestionar si mentir era realmente tan malo, el juego logró cautivar a los fans del género. La verdad es que la gente que te consigue en el transcurso del juego de verdad es muy triste y no se sabe que es peor, decirle la verdad, o una mentira para relajar el sentimiento que ellos llevan de perder algo o a alguien. Para mí me costó.
Picking up around here... Now, with Overture, the developers have decided that we don't suffer enough. I don't mean that as a joke. This DLC acts as a prequel, exploring the events leading up to the disaster. You'll play as “Geppetto's Puppet,” traveling back in time thanks to a mysterious artifact. But don't get too excited: every decision you make will have consequences in both the past and the present. Who needs therapy when you can carry the weight of your mistakes in two timelines? If I suffered with the decisions and the ending I chose, which was beautiful, now how will it affect the past, present and future?

With the Overture DLC, the developers seem to have looked at our tears of despair during the base game and said, “Yes, we want more of that, but this time with more context.” This additional content not only functions as a prequel, but also seeks to expand and deepen the lore of Lies of P.

The main title introduced us to the unforgettable Pinocchio in a re-imagination where the threads of his decisions were as tangled as the chaos he faced. Combat, with its merciless but fair difficulty, felt like waltzing between life and death. As we explored Krat, we encountered narratives that forced us to question our morality: is the truth worth it if lying saves lives? Do puppets have souls? And why does everything in this city seem to want to kill you?

Among the highlights of the game were the combinable weapons, which allowed you to design custom strategies for each encounter, and the narrative decisions that affected both the development of the story and the available endings. The result was an experience that not only challenged your reflexes, but also your ability to make decisions under pressure.

In addition, we will meet Lea, a Legendary Stalker whose presence seems to be surrounded by mystery and tragedy. Will she be a mentor? A playable ally? Or simply someone destined to break our hearts? I wanted to share this point of view of mine to all of you, hopefully it will be a success, it is not an easy game, but there are many who like it, if you put me to compare between choosing between Sekiro, and this game which is more difficult, I think that Lies of P. Quería compartir este punto de vista mío a todos ustedes, esperemos que sea un éxito, no es un juego sencillo, pero hay muchos que les gusto, si me ponen a comparar entre a elegir entre Sekiro, y este juego cual es más difícil, pues yo pienso que Lies of P. Es un grandioso reto que no se decepcionaran, ojalá tenga varios finales como su juego base. Hasta aquí lo dejamos como siempre disculpen en demorarme mucho en las publicaciones he estado algo ocupado en otras cosas, pero ya pronto regresare de nuevo con la siguiente parte de la campaña de “World War Z”.
