Greetings!
Planting in a pot has been one of my plans when I started gardening (vegetable gardening). To be exact I started my vegetable gardening way back in July of 2021. But the lot that I am going to use in my vegetable gardening has been ready for less than a decade. In the span of less than a decade my garden has been sparely planted with some fruit-bearing trees whenever I got home once a year.
I also fell in love with planting vegetables in a pot (especially Bell Pepper) when I first saw them on the internet.
By the way, this is actually a very late blog since I am also busy with our rice farm.
What I Used in Planting Bell Pepper
My plan of planting bell pepper in a pot actually has no definite time since I am only waiting for my wife to buy bell pepper to be used as an ingredient in our everyday cooking.
And when she bought bell pepper and prepared it for cooking I immediately grabbed all the seeds.
Some bell pepper seeds that I am going to plant
Here in my hometown, we are used to using black soil as a starting medium in planting our organic vegetables (we even used it as a transplanting mix if we got lots of it).
The black soil that I am going to use as a starting mix together with some fine sand
And as the title implies this is my first time planting bell pepper in a pot (I will also going to transplant them using the same size of the pot and hope they will healthy.
In addition to the black soil, I will be adding some fine sand to the black soil to complete my starting mix/medium.

I intend to plant as much bell pepper as possible so I bought some pot for the germination process and also for the transplanting later.

And of course, I am going to need some water for the newly planted bell pepper.

I first put about 80 percent black soil into the pot

I then added 20 percent fine sand to complete my starting mix/medium
Putting some fine sand
Mix the starting mix/medium. You can actually mix them before putting them into the pot.

After I mixed my starting mix/medium, I then sprinkle some seeds on top of my starting mix/medium.

And here's how it looks like after I sprinkled some seeds on my starting mix/medium. You can definitely put fewer seeds if you want to.
Here's how it looks like after a put the seeds into the pot
Then I put some black soil on top of the seeds (about 1/2 inch thickness).

After I put some black soil on top I put enough water to complete my planting process.
Watering the bell pepper
And that is how my first experience of planting bell pepper in a pot goes. Have a nice day and Happy New Year to everyone!
