Good day folks.
i watered the green houses early this morning, did some weeding and picked some Chard, Mint & Loveage for my smoothie.
It rained quite a bit these last couple of days & the garden is wild. Time to get the strimmer out once the sun has had time to dry the grass & "weeds".
Back in the house i made my smoothie, then decided to light the fire as it's quite cold in the house.
Wake & bake on the balcony overlooking the west side of the garden, the gong was swinging in the wind and i could really feel the chill.
Back inside now and about to make my second (but not quite so) healthy breakfast.
Where i am is a kind of a guest house in #Bulgaria. It's my home in nature & i often have volunteers come to stay for a " work retreat" which includes daily meditation, yoga, #vegan food & more. i very occasionally receive paying guests but have not advertised yet as there's still quite a lot of work to do to make it more beautiful.
i'll leave you with one of my favourite verses by Rumi is called The Guest House, and it's quite appropriate for my living situation:
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
Jalaluddin Rumi
