🌴 The house of palm trees 🌴

Maybe I exaggerated with the title when I said that in my house there are more palm trees than in a palm grove, but the truth is that here you can find more than 10 palm trees of different sizes and species. If you want to know, it was my grandparents who planted them, more specifically my grandfather who is a fan of this tree and has made it clear to us with the number of palm trees he has planted throughout his life in this house.

There are small ones in pots like these which I think are quite decorative for the entrance of the house and if you come to visit this demonic feathered being, you will see the last two potted palms as soon as you arrive and they will welcome you or peck you if they don't like you... oh no, wait, that would be Buhito, palms are nicer, so they will surely welcome you and open the doors of my house.

Then there are the huge palm trees, whose height can reach more than 20 meters like this one that has 3 trunks and it hurt my neck to photograph it because of its height. This palm tree is located a few centimeters from my house in the background and I consider them somewhat dangerous because their leaves are huge and heavy and when they fall they make a tremendous roar that can be heard until the other block, so if one of these leaves falls on your head, you will pass to the other plane and you will not even notice it.

If we talk about huge palm trees, in my house there are at least 4, two in front of my house and two near my grandfather's house, but 3 of them are dangerous for me because to go out to the street I have to cross the road where those palm trees are located and thank God I have not fallen any leaf while crossing that road, they always fall suddenly when there is nobody in the garden, I guess I am not so bad tempered.

They are colorful and decorative, they give that Caribbean air that we all like, I will not deny it, but their height and the size of their leaves are scary, my mom does not like them precisely because of that and also they are very close to the electricity and internet cables, many times the leaves got caught in the cables and so far it has not cut them by miracle. Another scary fact, their leaves are sharp, you have to hold them carefully or you will prick your whole arm.

I already told you about the scary part of having such big palm trees in the home garden, something so beautiful, but dangerous, a not so ideal combination, so now let's move on to the small and medium size palms whose leaves are so thin that the wind blows them away. Those are the ones I like, the big ones I leave for a paradisiacal beach, the small ones to place in pots and bring the beach to my home through them.

Some palm trees remain small, but I fear that someday they will become huge and dangerous like the ones I showed you in previous pictures because most of them are around my house and although they look nice as decoration, I don't want to die crushed by one of their leaves, no sir. The second to last palm tree in this post I nicknamed it “Bob Patiño” because its leaves have the shape of the palm tree hairstyle of that funny character from The Simpsons.
What do you think, does it look like him or not? I'll read you in the comments.
