This post was inspired in a way by a September Challenge post by @riverflows in the Hive Garden community.
Although it has been a crazy summer in Central Europe with long dry periods and many forest fires it has also been a great season for some plants. Tomatoes and peppers are thriving, cucumbers are doing great, and grapes are ripening way too early. Even fig trees have their second spring with recent rain from summer storms.
This morning we visited our friend and fellow runner Pajo. As a part of his full-time hobby, he is specialized in peppers and tomatoes. We bought some spicy sauces which are delicious.
As a present, he picked some fresh fruits for us, both peppers and tomatoes.
Enjoy the show as we enjoyed the smell and later the taste of these delicious fruits of nature.
Various hot chilli peppers, red, green, yellow, black, ... you name it.
Tomatoes come in all shapes and colours too ...
Our lunch today
Thank you, Pajo. You are a great friend and gardener :)
better and better
