It's been a long time since I discuss about my garden. Well as usual I've been watching and taking care of my garden since the past 7 days. There's a huge development within it and I'm happy to share it here today. How are you doing by the way my fellow gardeners here on Hive? I hope you're doing good same as your gardens.
Moving on, I've said here before that my lemon plant already bore lemons and today, I finally harvested 3 of them. Speaking of round fruits, how are your fruits back in New celebration? If you're a Filipino like me I'm sure you can relate to the tradition of our parents regarding the 12 round fruits or a group of fruits. I'm not familiar with the number because my mother is not doing it anymore. Well I said to her that being lucky cannot be aquired by doing those kind of things but still I respect those who did this things.
My grandmother was the one who saw it since I'm not that active outside for the past days since my health went down and now I have a cough. I'm very happy when I heard her news so I immediately went to see my lemons and here they are. All it's fruits are already ripe but I just get the big ones and left the small ones.
After harvesting them, I made some lemon juice for me to consume. Hoping my cough will be gone soon since I have a lot of things to do.
Regarding this, I've been harvesting mulberries also for me to eat since there's a lot of it and the birds were also trying to get some of it. They get those at the top which I can't reach.
The flowers of my tomatoes are already blooming and I can't wait to see it's fruits. All of them are in flowering stage already so I expect a lot of small tomatoes within the next days.
As for my bitter gourd, it's already have flowers and bore it's first fruits. You may notice in the photos that they are just small and it's because this one is a native variety here in our place. This one is very bitter when it's not cook properly. Same bitterness with the herbal plant, Serpentina. Despite that, I loved this one since it's easy to grow.
As my eyes wondered around my plants here I can't resist not to take some shots of the details I find interesting such as the photos below.
First of them is this one, a part of my bitter gourd called Tendril. With this one I believe that plants like this can produce music symbols and maybe they can sing in silence also. It's hard to take a focus shot of it but with a lot of trial and error I got that outcome. Such a unique characteristic of bitter gourd which I really admire.
Water drops within the leaf of my tomato. As I checked the it's condition, my interest was caught by the droplets of water in it's leaf. Without a second thought, I took my phone and took a shot and I got that outcome. So far I loved the shot I took and hoping that I can take water drops on it's fruits also.
I was really amazed also by the big leaves of my tomatoes. They said that when a plant has big leaves as this one, it will produced also big fruits. Well with that notion I'm really hoping that it will because according to the person where we got it, she's certain of it.
That's how my garden journey went this day again and I'm really hoping to see good results from my plants.
Plant, plant and you'll survive.
