Greetings fellow garden nerds! The above pictured has zero effects in anyway, except me zooming in. Also the corn is has not been touched, and this is the way it grows. Glass Gem Corn has to be the only food you want to grow just to look at. I just want to pick one off, and unwrap the husks to see what it looks like! Each one has it's own unique to it. Not only are they different colors, but different patterns. Some come in a straight line, while others have a spiral to them. As each layer of husk is peeled away, the anticipation feels like Xmas morning.
Then the glare of light beaming off each kernel captivates you even more! You have to just grow some of this varietal to see for yourself.

Harvest day is here for the corn in the main garden. If I had let them go any longer, there would not be any left due to picking one by one to get a peak at the surprise inside.

Even the duds look cool. The one on the right looks like a Pokemon! Might as well be since I want to catch them all;)
They never tell you how ugly Glass Gem Corn addiction can be though. Above is the aftermath of my disease.

Great thing I have more on the way! The corn did so much better on this side too. Very excited to compare the differences, although I am sure will be more subtle.

I recall a comment I got early on about the silk. Drying it up, and making a tea has some health benefits. So I am just putting it up on my compost top, and saving it for a rainy day.
The yellow water melon is looking good, and soon will be transplanted. I just want them to get a little bigger so snails can not eat them up.
There was one ready. Pretty laughable right!? I swear my pepper game is weak. But as I promised in last post. I will now eat it.

DELICIOUS!

Last but not least. the Beef Steak. I also picked the last of the Cherry Tomatoes, and composted. I am get a handful of BS here, and there. I plan to make a batch of salsa this weekend. Wish I had more Habaneros, but I do have the Serrano's I can dice up. Then the rest of the ingredients will have to be picked up from the store. Next year I plan to do it all myself, and with the kindness from @anewyorkminute79 I will have garlic! I am sending him some Glass Corn seeds, along with some other heirlooms. Just been lagging on that. But I promise those will arrive soon. Would you like to grow some Glass Corn as well? Shoot me an Email over at jonyoudyer@protonmail.com. Thanks for reading, and lookout for more updates on my Yellow Watermelon. :)
