We have good and bad news for this report.
From tomorrow they are reporting cold weather and rain.
And not only that, but cold weather all week.
When I say colder, they announced temperatures below 30 degrees all week.
They announced rain on Sunday and Tuesday and it is much needed.
While we are on the subject of good news, the pumpkin seedlings have started to sprout leaves.
Not counting the cotyledons, the second leaf has also started to sprout.
So by the next report I think I will transplant them into the ground.
I have already started preparing the land, I have mowed the grass and I only need to prepare the soil.
I think the melons and watermelons will be ready too, because I planted them at the same time as the pumpkins.
I have an irrigation system nearby, so I'm thinking of installing hoses for all three plants.
The weather will also be in my favor if the temperatures drop a little.
Otherwise, I have been hiding the seedlings from the sun in partial shade so that they don't burn.
Maybe they have sprouted a little more, but I had to do it that way.
Even though I water regularly and have added plenty of hay around the pumpkins, it seems to me that one pumpkin further away in the garden has lost its battle with the sun.
And on the other, the pumpkin tambourine began to turn yellow.Although it has not reached even half its size.
The other pumpkins at the beginning of the garden are still holding up well, but they seem frozen in time.
Watering them only keeps them alive, and temperatures above 36-37 degrees Celsius take their toll.
Because at these temperatures the plant does not grow, it only survives.
That's why I can't wait for the announced cooling.
This concludes my post today to continue supporting and sharing this wonderful 2025 Pumpkin Challenge, sponsored by @der-prophet and @hive-world-champ.
Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.
