Yes, I first thought it was purely ornamental too! I still love how in other countries they paint a giant head on a wall where there is a bougainvillea tree behind. When it blooms the painted woman's hair lights up in color! I think river introduced me to that and now I can't imagine it. I would do it with the light orange variety!
