Lately, like most of the time, my drawings are all stylized, you know? Nothing like the sort of realistic scene I tried to capture last night. Right before retiring, I thought I just doodle whatever is on my screen
It's pretty clear I'm still finding my way with drawing people realistically, or anything close. Looking at it now, the sizes are all off since these three people are supposed to be walking together in the same scene. Awkward!!! The guy on the right? He has got a real presence, even if he is a bit larger than intended Then the woman in the middle looks super small, almost like a little kid well, maybe I captured some youthful energy there? And the woman on the left has a unique look with those flowy clothes but I think they are wearing her. Another awkward realization.
And the feet yikes, the feet are always my big problem. My reference didn't even show them, so I had to make them up myself, and hey, at least I tried, right? It's all part of the journey
Anyone else have those drawings that are more 'character' than 'realism'? What are you currently working on or learning in your art? Let me know
