Hi DrawaDay community and creative friends
I am happy to announce our Christmas Character Design Drawing Contest I know you miss having this kind of contest around here so here it is. This is your chance to bring your imagination to life by creating original holiday-inspired characters. Whether you go for classic Christmas vibes or invent something completely new, let your creativity shine.
What’s at stake?
We’ve gathered 15 HIVE for prizes, thanks to donations from @glstech, @allyson19, and @london65, plus 5 HIVE I’m adding myself. Here's how the prizes are distributed:
1st Prize: 6 HIVE
2nd Prize: 4 HIVE
3rd Prize: 3 HIVE
Special Prizes (2 winners): 1 HIVE each
How to join:
- Create your own original Christmas character and give it a name if you'd like.
- Post your entry, preferably in the Draw A Day community, to show support for its creative members. Alternatively, you can share it in any community of your choice.
- Use #ChristmasCharacterContest or #characterdesign so we can find it
- Include a short description of your character and a link to this post.
- Share this contest post to build support, momentum, and engagement.
- The deadline for submission of entries is 7 days from the date of this post.
Winners will be announced in a separate post afterward
Judging Criteria:
Creativity and Originality: Show us something fresh and unique! Your character should reflect your imagination and stand out from typical Christmas designs.
Connection to the Christmas Theme: Your character should capture the spirit of Christmas, whether it’s festive, magical, or cozy.
Effort and Presentation: We’ll look at the time and care you’ve put into your artwork. A neat and well-thought-out presentation will make a difference
I will be judging the contest, along with @allyson19 @london65 and @glstech, who have been invited as co-judges since they contributed to the prize. However, they will not be able to participate as contestants. They are welcome to share their creations to show support for the contest.
