So I'd like to think these videos are improving. Took the day to play with the new action cam. I thought it would be fun to take a short tour around the city while I narrated with the microphone. That part didn't work out so well. The wind completely overpowered the microphone. I may already have a solution for that by the next video.
In the next couple days I'll be blogging a little about the technical side of vlogging. I'm learning a lot and making A LOT of mistakes. The wind completely overpowered my microphone, so I turned this into a music montage. Seemeed like a fun way to save the footage.
This video is of me starting out in an old trainyard and touring around Buffalo NY. I start out at the edge of Riverside NY drive into Blackrock via an offroad trail along the train tracks. Then into the West Side, Allentown, Downtown, then back home. If you ever wondered where The Dood lives, works, and plays this is my hometown.
I've got some travel vids coming soon. I'll be doing Allegheny and Letchworth soon. Weather has been miserable and my personal life has been a bit busy. Hopefully that can happen soon. You'll also notice the leaves on the trees are starting to turn for autumn. My Adirondacks trip may be coming sooner than expected. I'm hoping to catch the peak of the fall foliage there.

I've wanted to try one of these music montages so I'm happy with the way this came out. I would have been happier with the original plan, but I'll try a narration video next time. I found some great LoFi tracks and I love how they went with the video. This was a fun learning experience.
