El negocio impulsado por Hive y mi progreso
Saludos amigos, espero que todos se encuentren bien. Es realmente un placer publicar mi reciente logro con la colmena que apagué últimamente.
Ha sido una estancia decente y un juego limpio por parte de amigos aquí en el ecosistema de la colmena. Aunque el viaje no fue tan fácil dado el hecho de que tienes que navegar a través del sistema para conocer la
comunidad que mejor se adapta a ti, la muestra de amor y amistad hasta ahora ha sido tremenda.
Parece una historia larga pero es digno de mención que cada historia tiene una proposición. Iniciar un negocio y convertirse en un emprendedor exitoso ha sido mi principal objetivo como individuo, aunque para mí es obvio que se deben implementar muchos protocolos y medidas personales antes de poder lograr el éxito en este sentido.
He analizado el perfil de muchos empresarios y empresarios exitosos por igual y observé que su punto de partida no fue tan fácil, aunque la mayoría de ellos lograron alcanzar su punto de equilibrio mientras persistían como empresarios, mientras que otros se dieron por vencidos dada la tasa de la competencia y la tensión que tienen que aportar para alcanzar el éxito.

Greetings friends, hope everyone is fine. It's really a pleasure to publish my recent achievement with the hive I powered down lately.
It has been a decent stay and a fair play from friends here in the hive ecosystem. Although the journey wasn't all that smooth given the fact you have to navigate through the system in order to know the
community that best suits you but the show of love and friendship so far have indeed been tremendous.
It seems to be a long story but it's noteworthy every story has a prolusion. Going into business and becoming a successful entrepreneur has been my main target as an individual although it's obvious to me that a lot of protocols and personal measures have to be put in place before success could be attained in this regard.
I have gone through the profile of many successful entrepreneurs and businessmen alike and observed that their starting point wasn't all that easy although majority of them were able to hit their break even point as they persist as entrepreneurs while other gave up given the rate of competition and strainouse personal input they have to put for success to be attained.
I went through the profile of one of our African richest Aliko Dangote by name and observed he almost gave up on his inherited business but he persisted to the point everyone is clamoring for him as a successful businessman.
In my previous article, I underscored that money or capital isn't all that matters in business but on the contrary, capital is also pivotal for the success of every business. It seems I'm contradicting myself at this point but not absolutely because as a factor of production, capital is just one of them and not all the factors that are used in production.
Capital is useless without land as a fixed factor of production. Capital isn't also useful when labor goes off from the equation and finally, we can't dissipate the fact that capital without entrepreneurs is worthless.
Nonetheless, it's about a month now since I started a hive powered business. It hasn't been my fantasy going into company work as a graduate, working in a programmed way like a robot given the rate of unemployment prevalent in our country.
Consequently, I learnt two hand jobs in order to assist myself at the same time. One is Manson which was actually what I used in training myself in the university and next is barbing, which I learnt immediately after my degree program in 2022. Though I learnt this as a less tedious skill when compared to the stress in working as a mason in my country where you'll work from 8am till 5pm and most times 6pm just for $3.50.
Nonetheless, after serving my fatherland as a youth corper in 2023, I decided to establish my barbing business in our state capital “Umuahia” given the fact you have to start from what you know to that you don't know. Although I'm also scouting for other opportunities in business with capital being a major constraint.
Here's a breakdown of some of the expenses I made in the salon shop: first is the renting of the shop at the cost of $48.2008 plus tenancy agreement which cost $6.6946 making it $54.8954 approximated to ₦82,000.
Some other materials in the shop include: a barbering chair which cost $26.7782 approximated to ₦40,000, two customer's waiting seat furniture at the rate $80.3346 approximated to ₦120,000. Next is a barbing cupboard valued at the rate of $24.7698 or ₦37,000 approximate. Two wireless clippers valued at $20.0837 or ₦30,000 approximate.
Next on my list is a barbing mirror valued at $16.7364, standing fan valued at $21.4226, re-wiring of the shop and the electrician's balance valued at $12.7196. painting of the shop which took 2 big buckets of yellow paint with a small white bucket paint and roller which all cost $17.7722 including workman pay.
Furthermore, I spent $32.313 in fixing our big gen which I'm using for the shop given the cost of getting a new one which is about $120+ so I preferred fixing the old one since it's manageable. I also got other barbing utensils like: comb, powder, clipper oil, after shave, screwdriver, foam, and fibrous brush.
However, I also rented a room apartment close to the shop against spending unnecessary transport fares and other uncertainties although the house is valued at $67.8574 plus tenancy agreement of $8.07 and agent fee of $4.03, totaling $79.9574. given to this, I also conveyed a few of my properties to the new apartment with $16.15 that is ₦20,000 equivalent.
There are also other miscellaneous expenditures like transport fares for conveying shop material and buying of snacks for the day's upkeep since the shop is located in an environment entirely far from my place of residence.
The shop is now in full operation although there's no steady light in the area at the moment coupled with the rate of competition among other barbers who've been in the environment before my arrival.
Finally, I also added a cubicle to the shop specifically for the charging of phones given the demand for light and powering accessories in the environment. Securing this phase of the business has claimed $24 that is ₦30,000 approximate.
After securing the cubicle for the charging of phones, I also got some chargers although not enough but just started with the little my money could afford at the moment currently spent $25.2523 approximately valued at ₦30,000
Nonetheless, I've spent $453.1829 which is an approximate figure of ₦538,386.89 excluding some other bantam expenditures both for the hairstyle business, shop and hoise rent. However, there's a great progress in the business so far, not minding the rate of competition within the environment. Consequently, I've been able to amass a good number of customers who usually visit each day for barbing, dyeing, shaving and charging.
Finally, although, I need about an extra $250 to secure some other equipments like: trimmers, a new generator against uncertainties, dryer, and chargers for the charging part of the business.
